Can you remind me of the way you were able to get Chrome off of plastic.  I remember you working on the valve cover band.

Hi Jerry,

Two parts hydrogen peroxide and one part muriatic acid. 

It only took 1.5 hrs to do my valve cover bands.

Super clean from Walmart also removes chrome from plastic super fast and safe.

I used this method several times on several different items with the same results.


I saw this when I was looking for something to do my bands.  The bands have a much thicker chrome coating then the hot wheel cars in the video.  It would probably work, but it might take days to remove the chrome.  I wanted something faster.  Although, this is much safer.
