Has anybody ever mounted one on a 41mm set of forks such as my GL1200?  I can get the w/s OK, just having trouble trying to find the right model of mounts for it to go on my 1200. I've called and emailed various vendors and all they want to do is look at the application charts which is kinda dumb. Those charts don't cover every bike, and I can't get these idiots to actually go and measure the clamps. Part of the problem is I'm usually talking to some young pup on the counter that couldn't spell his last name right three times in a row. If it isn't a Harley, they're like Alice In Wonderland.  tickedoff

John, this is what the fork clamps were like on the Memphis shade setup I just
sold. All aluminum and somewhat adjustable by the slots....  the alum is somewhat
thin so I'd guess flexible meaning fits many diameters...

I have a pair of those from the MS screen I pulled off my bike. I don't know the size, but I'll measure them up (if I can find them).

Paxton, I agree....it's like our own Tech board. Tons of knowledge, been a member for a few years. Only one time did I have someone post a smartass remark in response to a question I had. I immediately called him on it and others sorta joined in, hasn't happened since. Good people over there, and I have posted the question there re. a windshield. So far....nothing. What I really need to know is the width of the Memphis Shades Slims w/s, specifically the distance between the mounting points on the w/s. My 1200 forks are 9 1/2" measured from the outside of each fork and I'm having a heck of a time getting anyone to give me that info. If a w/s is slightly wider than that, I can create spacers to make it fit. I just don't understand why I can't get a vendor to answer that question, I even called Memphis Shades about it. Felt like I was talking to a chimp.  uglystupid2
