We as a culture have certainly dropped to a new low when we discipline medical personnel for viewing the penis of a corpse. Don't we show them just such things during training? Shouldn't there be some interest in unusual physical features? After I'm gone they are welcome to look at any interesting parts of the body that remains. Unfortunately the genitals will not be on the list of curiosity.  |

Well it certainly sounds inappropriate. However, I f you knew how many inappropriate things are said and done in hospitals by doctors and nurses and you suspended all of them it would be hard to run healthcare. It's part of the dark sense of humor those that work with life and death everyday have. Doesn't make it right but It sure makes it seem like it was blown out of proportion.
Probably treated more harshly to appease family members so they wouldn't sue the hospital.

It's my understanding rigor rarely sets in on a hard on. For some of us, closing the casket could be a problem.  Course it depends on what you were doing when you expired. Like so many things in life.... it's not the doing that gets you in trouble, it's the talking about it. (STFU) |
