Saw where Goldwing owners have a club Gold Wing Road Riders. (GWRRA) They offer Rescue Plus as a benefit if broke down. I  have a Goldwing 1800 and The Valk I/S. Which i think they also honor as a recipient to join. Any input on how good it is and is worth the membership?

Don't Waste your money. I Belonged for several years. Till needed service.
 1. They charge to enter events to see vendors.
 2. Rescue plus is a joke. Used it once within several years of belonging. They took 3.5 hrs to pick me up on the side of the interstate with a flat tire. They Couldn't get any co. to pickup a motorcycle. The tow truck driver said they didnt pay enough. That he almost declined. I then called GWRRA of concern and have still yet for them to call me back. If you are looking for a high priced  advertisement filled magazine once a month then its for you. Otherwise they are seeing members drop like flies. One of those where they have as many members as they want and could care less. All about taking your money.

I've belonged for about 7 years now, and have used the Road Side Plus twice. Both pick ups just over an hour. But both where in heavily populated areas. Once in BC and once in WA.

To join the BCAA (CAA/AAA) was over $130 CAD for one person, and did not include MC. That was an extra $36. For $80 (? I prepaid for 3 years and got a wanted bonus) USD I get my whole family in the GWRRA & Road Side Plus. It's a WHOLE LOT cheaper.

My only down side originally was no roaming plan on my cell. Now I've got a little, that should get me out of trouble if needed.

Oh, and I get a "high priced  advertisement filled magazine once a month", which I throw away in no time at all.

As for the GWRRA membership, they allow all GL motorcycles, which include all flavors of the GL1500. I even used to see "Gold Wing (and Valkyrie) Road Riders Association" on there web site, but when I last looked a few years ago, couldn't find it.

I'm a Life member, since I ride alone I only pay for one person. I've used their "book" to call another member a couple times while traveling, saved me a bunch of $$....enough to pay for annual membership a few times over. Didn't make any difference that once I was in the car, the other time was on the Valk. I used it one time for a flat tire on the Valk but got the situation taken care of before the tow truck arrived. All I had him do was pump the tire up more so I could ride home.

You can also use their book to ask someone local about routes, places to see or stay, etc., so it's handy no matter what. As for advertising, true....the monthly rag has a lot. But if it didn't, for one thing membership fees would be higher. It does have a good Technical section each month which I always read, the guy that writes it is quite knowledgeable in all models of the Wing.
