Crazyhorse Veteran's Day Ride November 10th & 11th

I wanted to go ahead and get this out there for those who want to attend this year. The Ride-In will be in Cookeville, TN at the Best Western Thunderbird Motel. Our rate is the same as last year $65.00 plus tax for a room with two beds. Mention Crazyhorse Veteran's Day ride when you call the motel. As last year there will be no planned Ride on Saturday you can plan your own or hook up with some of the guys that show up. If you want to let us know you are coming reply to this post there will not be a sign up page. Hope you can make it.

Tough decision.       It seems, my son and future daughter in law did not consider my motorcycling needs or schedule.

As much as I hate missing this event, I'm getting the feeling that my presence is not only requested but, required for the nuptials that date.   

If they hadn't already had the invitations printed up, I might have a chance of re-directing or rescheduling this ceremony but, as it is.   Don't look for me to attend.   

Then again, if the ride that date will swing by Natural Bridge, KY maybe I can do both.   
I'm going to assume the odds are not in favor of that.   Have fun and ride safely my friends.

Got me a room too, Mac... made the reservation in person! Yep, I'm here at the BW Thunderbird Motel as I write this... I'm on my way to Kentucky and a hook-up with landelephant and Rams for some serious tire-kicking and possibly a bit of riding together, as well... I'm making up for having to miss out on the DRU due to Irma.

Can't dawdle now, though, because I'm gonna walk over to the Mexican restaurant and have me some refried beans and nachos... might even go for a cervaza or two while I'm at it... Anybody remember if they serve grits?

Many years ago, on a cold night on the floor of Yosemite Nat'l Park, in the back of my campered El Camino, the wife and I were sleeping rather more comfortably than in a tent on wet ground.  The wife rolled over and said... Crap, I have to pee.  I really hate having to get out of this warm sleeping bag, put on boots and coat, and trudge over to the restrooms some 75 yards away.

I said... I do too.  And then there was a tinkling noise as I filled my empty GI canteen.  The one I had thought ahead to have available for just this purpose.  

She... What are you doing?

Me.... Peeing in my canteen.  And staying warm, and not having to pull on a coat and boots and walk to the facilities.

She... Oh God, I'll never drink from that again.

Me....  I will, I'll just wash it out.

She.... Aren't you going to come with me?

Me...  Nope, it's nice and warm in here.
