That is cool!

The last time that I crossed that bridge was 2011 or 2012.

I Didn't even know that they were building a new bridge.

Back then it was $12 to cross the old one, I hate to think about how much they want to cross the new one.

Thanks, Hook! Amazing vid, and it proves once again just how capable we humans are. I marvel at the thought that must go into figuring all of that out, and then at the ability of mortals to actually make it all happen. Heck, our species has even landed people on the moon and returned them safely!

Incredible how we can do all those things, but we struggle unsuccessfully to get along with each other... I suppose it's to be expected, though, as we're not perfect. While we can accomplish feats like those depicted in your video, we still can't manage to make road and bridge surfaces line-up consistently...

Anyway, I do appreciate you sharing that with us! Remarkable, to say the least!!!

It's not very bridge-like.  It's been open for a month or so now.  The whole thing is very flat.  More like a giant causeway.

The old bridge had 7 traffic lanes and they would move the center divider over for 4 lanes going towards the city in the morning, then they move the divider over for 4 lanes going away in the afternoon.  The new bridge has 4 lanes going each way.

And there's still the usual traffic in during the usual times.

It was pretty cool how the concrete columns were built. It looked like they were going to hit each other. Nice post Bill.  cooldude

One thing I Hated bout the East coast from my point of view as driving a big truck was how much time I spent with my left window down givin folks money fer the dubious "privilege" of using their roads and bridges.  uglystupid2 I believe I found a chart with most likely the new tolls but before I got my E Z Pass seems to me they wanted a bit more than $40.00 for 5 axles. I remember loadin out of the Windy hitting the Skyway and paying to go across Indiana Ohio Pennsylvania New Jersey and on into New York and the Bridges there in N Y. Going back West weren't no cheaper!  Lips Sealed RIDE SAFE.
