Pretty cool. It occurred to me this could be useful in Mexico City right now.

Amazing

and fun to watch!!

I was paging through channels a few weeks ago and ran across a "drone race".

HOLY COW!!

It looked like in a warehouse type building where there was a course set up and 3-4 guys were racing these things.  At a tremendous speed!
Flying through the center of circles (like hula hoops), around obstacles, on straightaways all without slowing down!! (or at least it looked like it)

They were using the "Virtual reality" goggle things so they had no side vision and would run into each other and crash when two would attempt to fly through a hula hoop at the same time.
That was cool!!

This just amazed me as I played with one of the electric r/c helicopters and that freaked me out!

This is why I don't laugh when Amazon says they want a fleet of drone delivery vehicles...

This rather impressive, to me at least, drone demonstration was done 5 years ago, imagine what they're up to by now:

(And yeah, drone racing is awesome, but you'd need Jedi reflexes to do that successfully!)

The Daily Planet had an episode on acrobatic drones like that. It was very impressive. Outside at night, putting on a show.
