We are riding this weekend is anyone wants to join us (Don and Barb, Dave and Juanita Winter).
Saturday – leaving our house in Watertown at 10 a.m. Riding up to Grandads Bluff in LaCrosse and hope to be there about 2:30 pm. We will stop for lunch before La Crosse – TBA.
We will do some riding in the driftless area and head down to Praire Du Chien. We are staying at
http://www.bridgeportinn.com/Hotel rooms are hard to find this weekend near the Mississippi. You if want to join us, you are on your own for finding a room. Rather than relying on availability via the internet, you may just want to call some hotels.
Sunday = is the Slimey Crud Run (SCR).
http://www.slimeycrudrun.com/ This is a pretty cool thing if you have never been to it. A huge group of motorcycles meet in Pine Bluff, then ride your own route to Leland. Check out the times on the website for the peak times in both towns. You can ride back to Pine Bluff or ride on after Leland. I believe some of this group from the south are just going to the SCR on Sunday. The Don and I, Dave and Juanita will drive to Leland to see the SCR from Prairie and will plan to be there about 12:30. Departure from Leland TBA for home. Planning to ride the south road of Devils Lake and take the Merimac Ferry across the Wisc River back home.
I will be putting our schedule and route together. I will emailing it those who want to join us.
