Our cat Rascal has not been eating since friday night - we took him to the emergncy vet sunday morning because he was so dehydrated. He has been on Heart medications ( for heart failure) for over a year.  We called our regular vet and we're waiting for a callback on when we can bring him in. We're going to miss him badly - he was always our "clown kitty". Time to end his suffering. 15 years and he never complained.

My sympathies.....I'm sorry to hear that. It's never easy when it's time to let go.

I'm a big time cat guy, we have four.

Yep, I cried like a five year old when we had to put our last girl down.

Sorry to hear.  They add so much to our lives and it's never long enough.

We found Ralphie under the kerosene tank at the
corner gas station. She would fit in the palm of your
hand then. A couple of months later I found this poem
and pasted it onto this picture of her. She's about ten
now, I don't look forward to her getting older... I guess
Rascal has had a blessed life and is lucky to live at
your house  cooldude

Yup-I DO Understand. Remember the good times. I'm sure they-good-far outweigh the not so good. Little furbuls come into your life your heart they Demand attention when They want it-NOW! I was on the road when I lost Go Cat. Big orange male tiger stripe. I Wasn't there to lighten the load for Wife and Daughters.  Undecided 15 year ago and I Still look at the floor while in my recliner waitin and wantin to make room for him on/in my lap. RIDE SAFE.

Indeed they never complain, but you can always tell.  So sorry to hear.
This past Saturday a small group of buddies rode to New Paris, OH for Apple Festival.  On way back rounding a curve on the side of road was a dead puppy, most likely hit by vehicle.  We all pulled into another friends house a short time later.  Everyone noticed and commented sadness for this dog we never knew.

Many years ago we had two Siamese cats.  They acted more like dogs than cats.  I developed a severe allergy to cat dander and had to take them to the SPCA for a new home.  When I tried to take them in, both wrapped their legs (arms) around my neck and wouldn't let go.  That wasn't the best of days for me. I like cats.

"They acted more like dogs than cats."

we have a cat that has to be near 16yrs old, I will sorely miss her when she's gone. when I take the dog on a walk, she will follow along about 10ft behind us. and when my step daughter comes home, she will run out to the car to greet her, just like a dog.  Smiley
