It's been a long time with multiple surgeries and recoveries and other things to get in the way.  Today Mama and I rode to lunch, the bank, and back.  It was a good time.

Man I wish my wife would ride. I gave her a bike once with a custom paint job just for her and she wouldn't try to ride. She insists on just riding behind me. So we sold her bike. It was just a Vulcan 1500 classic anyways. Lots of great memories on it though. Anyhoo, glad yours is feeling good enough to ride with you. Mine is waiting for knee surgery so hopefully I'll have mine next season. Miss the feeling of her behind me.

YEA Lori!
It's great to see that she's on the mend, and getting her life back. Now y'all will have to start riding a LOT more so she can get her stamina back so she'll be ready to ride to InZane which from what I hear is going to be in something called a "Serkle"  Cheesy

Injuries and surgeries definitely put a damper on life. But God is good always. I sometimes think I've had my ration of healing but there is always more. Glad you guys are back on track cooldude

That is good to see Carl. Congrats Lori. I bet it felt real good to get back on a bike after so long. I  am looking to be off my bike for a few months after my knee surgery. Probably next spring. Good luck Lori....

Okay, old fuddy duddy.   Wink

Actually I told her to take it off so I could take the picture.  She was all concerned about who would see it but I told her this is Kansas, a state that gives the rider a choice.  It's just at the island of the cul-de-sac in front of our house but she do go several extra blocks to turn around.   Wink

As a rider who has proven I need a helmet even while loading, I have won't say I didn't notice .

A beautiful bike and a lovely lady who looks good even with a helmet.   I assure you, my nogg'n is pretty hard but nothing compared to concrete or asphalt .   Just ask the folks at the KOA in Billings.   Roll Eyes .
Sure hope they don't charge me for the cracked concrete.....

Ride safe and enjoy the wind.   cooldude

Thank you all!!!  It feels great to be able to get back on two wheels!!!

I am feeling so much better and hope to end this year on a good note!  The health issues of this year are behind me (for the most part), and I am definitely looking forward to a happy, healthy rest of the year!!  I am also 62 pounds less than I was at the beginning of this year, and I do plan to continue in that direction.

For those who are concerned, I do wear a helmet when I ride, Carl asked me to remove it for the picture only.

This is my favorite pic from yesterday:

Congrats on the return of your partner in the wind! Bet it was sweet for both of you!

Karen, it was a mixed bag.  She was riding my favorite bike and I had to take the Interstate.   ???

We all make sacrifices for the ones we love. Riding a green/silver Interstate couldn't have been too bad. Good on you for handing over your favorite yellow.  cooldude She looks like she thoroughly enjoyed it.
