Living here in Lake Havasu has some interesting benefits. We get a lot of tourists year round. Most from Calafornia and around the country. But we get a lot of tourists from around the globe also.
Let me set up this story. A couple of my workers and my son in law get together about once a month for bowling. We suck, but we drink beer and blow off some steam. I just happen to be the reigning champion, but that's another story.  Smiley Right now we have the Jet Ski Championships starting up. This draws teams from around the globe for the event. I really enjoy meeting them in the store and learning about them. But tonight was our bowling night. We were about 1/2 way into the night or about 3 pitchers in. The kid that runs the alley came up and asked a favor. I thought maybe we were being too loud and had pissed off the soccer moms who were having a birthday party for a bunch of 6 year olds. But no, he said he had a group that came in and needed three lanes together. Could we move over a lane ? Sure ,no problem. cooldude Well, about 15 family members from Norway came in next to us and start bowling. They have no idea what they are doing, but they are having fun. Well, as the night goes on they end up taking all our balls, not realizing that each person has their own ball. As far as they knew it was community bowling. No problem, we are still having fun regardless.  But then my Son in law who is about 3 sheets to the wind starts in saying them cursed "Weegies" took his ball. I start cracking up at him, and say we need to get my Father in law down here with his "Make America Great Again" hat and show these "Weegies" who Americans are. Luckily Brenda shows up about this time to avert an international disaster. A good time was had by all, and no Norwegians were harmed.

For the record I retained my 6 time Championship in a 2-2 tie.

Good story, enjoyed it.
