Well, I am heading home to WV in a couple of weeks.  Goodbye Afghanistan.

The interesting fact is night before last my 5yr old daughter, Faith, asked mommy why daddy couldn't work at home where she could play with me and my wife told her to pray for God to give daddy a job back home.

My wife said that Faith got down beside the bed and prayed "God, will you please get daddy a job back home so he can play with me."

Yesterday at 12:30am I received an email from a company that ran across my resume on ClearedJobs.com and stated they were interested in me so I forwarded them an updated resume.

Yesterday evening they made me a formal offer which I accepted.

Sometimes God moves in mysterious ways, and then others he just moves.

Sarge, Thanks and Congrats. :cooldude: As parents sometimes we get lost in providing for our families and forget how it really effects our families. Kudos, on your move and have fun with your family when you get home.  :) JDW

A story like this restores one's faith. Well done, now you have some precious time to spend with your daughter.  :cooldude:

Thank you for your service and sacrifice.  The prayers of children seem to work the best.  Have her say a few for our country, we will need them.  I hope the Lord continues to bless and protect you, your family, and your comrades in arms.

Freedom will ultimately cost more than we care to pay but will be worth every drop of blood to those who follow and cherrish it.

No place like home  ;)  I work on the road but thats nothing to what and where you've been however I feel I missed alot of my kids growin' up like cheerleading and football games just to name a couple. It was like one day they was just kids and the next they wanted a car . Glad to see you coming home and I wish you the best. The Lord answer's prayers I have no doubt I see it everytime I look at my grand-daughter Presley.

I've seen alot of people that thought they were cool , but then again Lord I've seen alot of fools.

Sarge, that's fantastic news...both the coming home and the answer to a child's prayer. Let me add my thanks for your service to the others posted here, and hope there is no return trip any time in the future.  :cooldude:

SgtBunny

You are correct.

It feels good to come home to a job though.  I was going to stick it out here until March or June of next year until this offer came along.

2 years over here is wayyyyy too long.

You can't do much about the length of your life, so focus on the width.
