and this is why we have the 2nd Amendment. it's there to protect all the other Amendments.

I like to think of it like the Queen in chess.

This may sound horrible but I doubt anyone would have the balls to pull a gun and fire in this situation. I think the same for all the second amendment rights we do have. I think that most would fold like a house of cards when asked for their guns.

Bad boys, bad boys, what you gonna do, what you gonna do when they come for you?

It would have to be a militia or a group that have the support to resist.

I think that most would fold like a house of cards when asked for their guns. Quote by Richard.

I agree. Would it be like "Red Dawn"?  I don't know.

When Hamilton made his statement in the 46th Federalist, he couldn't have imagined the massive amount of firepower that the military of all nations now have.  Couple that with the instant communication of computer science and it would be a daunting task for citizens to overcome.

All of us might make statements but when the rubber hits the road, if it came to confiscation of all citizens firearms,  existing during those times would be Hell.

No one wants to be a martyr (nobody sane and lucid).

But many of us will stand to make the enforcers and 2d Amend hating politicians/officials/bureaucrats  martyrs.  Although lying prone is safer and more accurate than standing.

My oath to defend the Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic was given standing up.

No one in their right mind would want a internal conflict.

But do not believe for one minute that it cannot happen or will not happen.
And do not believe that it will be force on force, for one minute.
It will be a action of attrition, how strong will the politicians be when they are the attrition?

The armed citizen populace vastly out numbers the would be controllers forces (even if many did not defect and they will).

Do not for a minute think no one will react and that it will not be ugly.

I pray that it does not happen, but I fear that it will.
