While visiting family outside Boston this weekend we stopped and looked at a really nice Custom Valkyrie Trike for my wife.  She has only been riding for a little over a year and has a Red & White 97 Valkyrie Trike now with a 2000 Motortrike kit.  Its a nice bike but I've been worried about the age of the kit and want to see her get an Independent rear suspension Trike.  Showed Trish several other Trikes this year - Goldwings, Can AMs and others but she only wants a Valkyrie.  Smiley  The Trike we went to look at is like new.  It is obvious this couple spent a ton of money on this bike.  Has 17,000 miles and a Cobra Trike Kit from Mystery Designs with Rifle Fairing. I really liked the Trike and would have bought it if for me but Trish couldn't get past thinking the Fairing looked like Darth Vader.

We would have taken the Superman theme off the Trike if we bought it by wrapping or painting it.  Couldn't think of a way to swap the Fairing without spending a lot more money so we will keep looking around.  If anyone else is interested here is the link to the Trike:

Your wife has excellent tastes in motorcycles and trikes.

I happen to agree with her on the windscreen.   Wish my cash flow was better, I'd go get that trike and put a different windscreen on it.

Put a belly tank on that (or whatever you put on a trike) and roll with it.    cooldude

Why not tell the owner to knock 1000 bucks off and keep the fairing then order a woodys? Easy swap.

I've a Roadsmith IRS (2011) Interstate (99)with 6 degree tree. Nice set-up with all the goodies. Quality New parts in kit, not re-used with 2 million mile warrenty (2 years)  Smiley.  Geared correctly, sets nice, longer wheelbase & looks good.. You're welcome to try it if you are in the area of 26101.  I think you really should ride the trike to make sure that's what you want. Lots of different brands out there.

EddieH,
That is a really nice looking Valkyrie Interstate Trike.  Looks like the owner took it down today.  We will probably end up with a Valkyrie Interstate Trike with a newer Kit.  The bigger tank, CB, and gas gauge are all a big plus.  Just finding the right one might take a while.

Rams,
Belly tank would be a good idea with the smaller tank and lower mileage of the Trike.

Gavin_Sons,
Yes I like this idea.  Will have to discuss this with Trish.  Took $14K with me and think I could have bought it for that if she would have wanted it.  Getting it a little cheaper than that might make getting a Woody easier.  Says he has over $40,000 in it.   Saw an ad from last year on the web where he had it listed for $27,000.  Can't imagine anyone looking at it with that price.

Mojo,
Thanks for the offer.  Would love to see your Trike.  Will send you an email about a date we might be back in that area.  We live in Eastern VA.
