Since we live so close together, it'll be from pretty much here (Chandler/Mesa line on Dobson).  Not sure the time yet.

I may (may) have a conflict to overcome.

I looking forward to seeing you guys there.  The weather should be perfect for a ride, course I only have to travel about 100 yds.  Maybe I will take the long way....hmmm!

Tony: I heard from Darrell today. He has a conflict and won't be going. I have a Grandson's soccer game in Cave Creek at 9AM. After that I'll ride up. Don't know when that is. You're on your own Tony.

That's actually marginally funny.  I guess you're talking about the return ride from last year's BBQ - the one where you chose to run 80+ in heavy traffic down the I17.   I had no compelling reason to pollute an otherwise great outing by "proving" anything.

Howsoever, if you're itching to really see what that mongrel of yours can do, let's set a date for Yarnell hill.   And I'll bring my slightly modified '78 GL1000 just to make it interesting.   I'm curious if you'll report back to folks after that one.

Well, looks like the conflict won this round. I am planning on Yarnell out and back so I dont have to deal with the craziness on 17...make for a bit of a longer day but thats cool.
I would love to go riding with you and your mongrel, it is a sweet old 'wing. Maybe we can get together for breakfast again, you me and Sandy.

Deal!  Soon.  Did the Grand Canyon in September and New Mexico Ghost Towns last week.  We'll figure something out.

Tony: The way you ride, I have no interest in risking my life. Also: I have a CDL and drive a school bus because I love it. An excessive speeding ticket will get my CDL yanked and therefore my job is gone. I don't ride in group rides due to this. Every time I mention my CDL, nobody cares. Fifteen or more over the limit is still the norm. If you think I drive too slow, I should show you my trophies for racing a Tiger in the SCCA. I raced C Production for 5 years. I have nothing to prove to anybody. Maybe my age should be mentioned, I'm 69 years old.
