If it weren't raining with slick leaves on the road I'd have taken the motorcycle to work.  This warm weather has been terrific for riding almost the entire month of October.  The leaves are now almost peak around this region.

Shouldn't complain though as in a few months folks (except for those in Florida and the southwest) will be wishing they could ride and complaining about the lack of secretary audition posts

Please do not make this political I would love to see a thread that is just about anything else, in fact lets make this a post where members put up pics of the leaves in full color

Gorgeous picture, Oss!
We don't get much color change down here in Central Florida. About the only way I know it is Fall around here is that my Sycamore tree starts dropping leaves even faster than Hillary drops dead bodies.....errr......whoops!  Grin

Sorry, Oss....just couldn't resist that open invitation.
Now....back to the regularly scheduled gorgeous Fall color photos that us Florida folks never get to see.

If you didn't want this to be political why is there a picture of an arrow pointing to the LEFT???  LOL1

Hey the colors around here in the midwest have been spectacular. Been kind of dismal in recent years but this year has been a real treat. Real vibrant. Just passing the peak.

Great post and  topic Oss....mmmm. These are from two weeks ago just before we were deluged with torrential rain for a couple of weeks... a 4 hour ride out from my home in Agassiz BC. It's beautiful again this week and 18 degrees (high 60's F), and the colours have really turned the past week so hoping to get out on another day ride Friday Smiley

Love the Fall foliage pictures.

MSB, if the URL for the pics are showing as they are in your pics, you're doing something wrong in Postimage. Remember, just click on the picture, click on "share"(far left just above picture), then click on the far right of the second from the bottom in the next screen. When it says "copied" just go here and click "paste". You never need to copy/paste the URL from the top.

man, what happened to summer temps.  Tonight first chance of frost and dreaded spitting snow tonight into tomorrow morning,  high of only 40s, low tonight of 32.

Like a light switch yesterday was upper 50's and no winds.

It seems like already about time to put up the cycles for the year but I always procrastinate and put the cycles up a few days before REAL snow is coming into the 30s for temps always thinking I will just get in ONE MORE day of riding in mid to late November.

Nice fall pics by the way,  too bad around me the 30 mph winds kicked up today and rain prior day so guessing a lot of the pretty colored leaves will be gone after this weekend for sure with more rain expected Saturday darn it!  Last Saturday was in 70''s and dare I say HOT...

Here where I reside the leaves went from sorta green to crusty thingys lying willy nilly on the ground. Floods in April and May to a drought here bouts the last couple of months. Frost headed here in the next day or so. Winter and all That portends be just around the corner-deep forlorn sigh here.  Undecided Don't KNOW what I spect-it are near on the end of October.  uglystupid2 RIDE SAFE.

No pics here. It's been blowing and raining. Temp now is 39 degrees.  The leaves are falling without much color. Forecast might include snow showers this weekend.  Farmers haven't harvested all the corn yet.

Great pics posted here!

Due to the extra moisture last winter, our fall colors were/are great this year.  Lots of Oaks in the lower country turned sort of golden color, normal kind of a grungy gray color this time of year.  Aspens and Cottonwoods were really golden color with some reds mixed in.   Sorry not pic's.

Thought last week would be my last ride over the Cascades this year.  Due to unseasonable warm temps get to ride over the hill today.  Enjoying the "Indian Summer" this year (I know not PC).

Anyone who is short of fall color is welcome to rake all they can carry from my yard.

Bring your own truck.

I'm even willing to pay minimum wage for your collection.

OK, OK, I'll go to $8 an hour.

Glad to see this post bumped up Smiley In the past week and a half, a nice little local ride and two fishing days to my favorite local spots produced these pics...

Riding along #7 through Deroche close to home

Views from Mt Woodside where I live

One of my absolute favorite spots on this earth...Upper Skagit River, my go-to fly fishing stream. Spending a day here in peaceful solitude is only matched when on the backroads with the Valk on a long solo ride Cool Sadly, as of Oct 31 it's now closed 'til next July Cry

Weaver Lake, up the mountain from Sasquatch Inn in Kilby, another favorite local fishing spot...15 minutes from home and good fishing all year long cooldude

Would love to see more pics from those of you back East...we have mostly Evergreens here, so Fall colours probably not as spectacular as in other regions...

ps...John Schmidt...thx for the Postimage tip  cooldude

Woke up at 5:00 AM, 31 degrees and thick fog this morning in Central Kentucky, I assume this means all those beautiful turning leaves will soon start dropping to the ground.   Everything is covered with frost.

Heard the trash truck outside picking up our trash, guess I need to get used to it.   Every time he comes by, the hydraulic clamps/arms come out, pick up the trash container and dump it into his truck and then reverses the process and brings the trash container back supposedly to where it was.   Never happens.   Not sure if this is an automatic process or if the operator/driver is manipulating the controls but, the trash container always gets dropped the last 18 to 24 inches, bounces on the concrete and ends up rolling out into the street.   Means I'm going go out there and haul it back in.

This always results in me having to make a decision, is it worth it, dark enough, warm enough to go out there as I'm currently dressed or, do I need to get dressed and put on appropriate foot wear to go out and retrieve my trash can from the street?   It's a tad bit on the cool side and I really don't know if the neighbors are looking out their windows to observe if the crazy old guy is gonna run out there in the cold wearing only........................ again.

Hmmmm, decisions, decisions.................  Undecided

Can't beat the colors in New England, growing up their in the late 50's ~ middle 60's makes me homesick this time of year. WI has plenty of good color but there's a difference in the intensity of the color. Enjoy it while ya can! We had temps near 80°F last week (normal high is low 50°s) but that's just a memory now. Someone in Canada left the freezer door open and today's high will be the 40° we had at midnight, as temps will drop all day into the teens. Once they salt roads from a first snowfall, most of the toy go away until Spring  Cry
