I see articles taking about the quiet exit of the v-rod.  Interesting  :o

A lot of money was invested in the design of that engine. I am truly surprised that they did not use that engine in more models?

I like the later models with the dual exhaust but never did take one out for a test ride.
I think it did not get a warm reception from a lot of Harley riders.

Grumpy

brother in law had one when they first came out, I rode it a couple times. Was not a slouch, had plenty of power and did not vibrate like the normal harleys. Only thing that sucked was the tiny fuel tank under the seat, did not really have much range. , plus the solid wheels would really catch the wind around trucks.
Most of the traditional harley guys hated them.

Life is like a hot bath. It feels good while you're in it, but the longer you stay in, the more wrinkled you get.

Never liked it. Wasn't good looking, didn't sound like a Harley (No matter what Harley Davidson says) and just a waste of money, IMNSHO.

When I got my new Valk I had read a review by one cycle mag rating the top ten cruisers for acceleration it rated the Valk 3rd fastest of 10 and the V rod 4th Valk beat V rod by 2 tenths of a second in this test if my memory is correct. V max and I believe Bugatti were 1 and 2  :)

A lot of money wasted. I think we'll see it again in a different bike. Especially if and when the emissions rules tighten up.
