The Indian thread got my rememberer to thinking about Americade

Gman and I found the hotel in Lake George and I was making myself insane as I had dropped my room key somewhere between the office and my bike and was locked out
Yeah a real key not a key card that would go in your wallet

As I am emptying out my right saddlebag I hear a new england accented voice calling out
"Hey Oss whats up?"   It was Steve "Crazy Miles" and his lovely wife.  They crossed busy Canada Street and I informed them of my self inflicted predicament.

Alas there was no key in the right bag so I set out emptying the left one.  Then Bev pointed and I looked and there it was next to one of those little concrete car barriers that keep you from driving into the side of the building.    What a relief !  We had a LONG walk to dinner and some good conversation followed by ice cream (ever notice how many good memories get associated with ice cream?) and it was a great night.

Seem I only see them and some others in Lake George.  That day I also ran into DalaiLama, Danbury and Karen in the vendor area.

Maybe 4 years before that I was in the inside vendor area when I heard someone yell HEY OSS  
That was Sandy and a friend on their way from Arizona to the Cabot Trail in Nova Scotia

You never know who you will meet when you own a Valkyrie   Heck I even ran across a Norwegian right here in Ossining by way of Texas

Nice story, Evan... thanks for sharing it. I agree with your statement, too, about meeting such nice folks through the riding of Valks! That's one of the main reasons I'm only a recluse and not a hermit!!! BTW, you're one of those characters I'm mighty happy I've met along the way, too... at some gathering or other...

How is your friend Ed doing ?

Joe; Thanks for asking. Ed is well. He takes good care of his eating habits and his heart is ticking away. He recently bought a '14 F150. It's nice. He's fighting prostate cancer now. They caught it early  and is healing nicely after radiation seed installation.
