I see several on amazon.com for 25-30 dollar range having no idea if they fit the valkyrie std/tourer mirror mounts and go in front of the levers as well.
anyone have any experience or brand preference since see National Cycle has a set but do not want to spend really over 50 bucks for a pair since new they are over 75 bucks.

I had National Cycle ones on my bike for years. Hands still get wet in the rain, and still get cold when it is cold. I think of them as "no-ops"... you are correct to worry about whether or not hand guards will play well with your mirrors and levers...

I have many after market hand guards ...On my Valks.. They are great for the bugs and other hard things from hitting your hands.. That's all they do for me.. But That all I need from them.. Mine are very square .. And have had some made for me from Plexiglas.. That have 2 light bends in them... The oval ones are smaller looking .. I have never used them... Good luck.... Here's a shot of my square black ones..

Keep in mind that lady draco and highbinder has ridden in snow more than many so if she says they work I would believe her
Can't imagine going up and down your driveway in snow and ice L.D.

cookiedough-i KNOW yer up in snowmobile country. I remember when I lived up near there some of my friends snow machines had either leather or a type of plastic insulated deal that tied on to the handle bar and was basically a big attached mitten. Ross-da prez-has some nice looking clear plastic ones that go ahead of the levers work good and look good-BUT always a but-I do NOT know who manufactured them. Maybe P M him and ask? RIDE SAFE.

I have those handlebar muffs for my ATV's which can be used for snowmobiles as well, but prefer permanent clear shield up front over brake/clutch levers on a cycle. What snow? southern WI last 5+ years trails not open for much more than a few weeks or so. Have to go up north more to enjoy the white stuff, but maybe this year will be different? We are well overdue for a wintery blizzard since the older neighbor lady pays me 20 bucks per time shoveling her steep 50 foot long driveway if not shoveled, no way she can get up her driveway way too steep.

Helping elderly neighbors without expecting payment is too much to ask for I guess. I got a lot of satisfaction from plowing my elderly neighbor ladies driveway. Especially if I got it done before she awoke.

I have several times not been paid for doing her driveway, but she appreciates a job well done since so few kids nowadays do it and besides, she can afford it and like to see you, possibly living in AZ where no snow shoveling or mowing much is needed, shovel by hand the end of her driveway when it is piled up 2-3 feet high of plowed in snow from the snowplow along with not seeing first hand her VERY steep and slippery driveway over 50 feet long or so. When it takes over 1 hour to shovel her driveway if over 6-8 inches of snow, then 20 bucks is not too bad and besides, that is her idea of payment not mine.
