I decided to run the bmw as it had not been ridden for weeks.

Naturally it wouldnt turn over so I went to look for the battery tender jr trickle charger

Found it in 20 seconds but the special bmw adapter was not in the box. The bmw has these two charging ports for doodads under the seat and a regular plug will not fit.

Anyway after an hour of tearing apart the garage and the use of words which need not be repeated here I was ready to give up and order a new one.  As I walked around to the front of the Valkyrie and there sticking out of a hanging cabinet on the wall next to the garage door what do I see but my controller for the heated gear

Could it be I wondered?  Could the bmw tail be in the same place as the controller?  Were the wires lonely and seeking companionship?

Y E S   Found you ya little bastid, now the bike is hooked up and with luck I will be puttering around in a few hours

edit   Well at 5pm it is now dark, and still red light blinking so it is likely that the 7 year old battery is on the way out.  Had to buy it the month after I got the bike so suppose I cant complain

Got a little ride in myself today Evan, Front tire had lost 6 lbs due to the cold since last ride, Hit 60° here in IL. Light jacket was all, but wind was 20 to 25 mph.
Knee caps are still cold, should have donned the chaps. Won't be riding here for a few days anyway.

I'm having an issue with the concept of a "nice" 3.5 mile walk.  Maybe a nice 3.5 meter walk. But 3.5 mile? I'm takin' the bike.

looks like this

Hayhauler and Dag have both been out riding it when they were here
Its my commuter bike

I've been trying (unsuccesfully) to lose 30 lbs  Still over 230
Have trouble getting up from a chair but by grace of God I can walk all day without pain.  Would rather walk than jog  Last time I jogged I came up with the imaginary scenario and tore a meniscus  coolsmiley tickedoff

Its a 2004 I got from Hollywood motors off of ebay in dead of winter

started right up this morning and I just got back from a ride up the goat trail  Only one state patrol hiding in the bushes and I waved.  police  and only one other motorcycle out

Also wave at the soldiers manning the guard post at fort smith at the base of the goat trail

Beautiful day here in the Hudson Valley
