Madstad windshield and Helibars

I had both of these install on Tuesday. The last three days I have taken a few short rides to make some adjustments on the wind screen and handle bars.

I really like the Madstad. I'm able to get rid of all the buffeting at 80 mph in clean air. When in dirty air at 80(with cars and trucks around me) I get a little turbulence coming in from the side but not bad at all. I can see over the windscreen and it is smaller than the stock and shape differently. It lets you see more of the road in front of you. I like where I have it set right now. That may change after I take a longer trip on it.

The Helibars made for a more comfortable hand grip. On the stock bars my palm sat cross way on the grip and now they sit straight across on my palm. Of course they adjust up and down, in and out, and forward and backwards and you can adjust the hand controls to fit the angle of the bar. One of the benefits of this design is it stops the flex in the handle bars and gives you a little better handling. I have adjusted the bars and wind screen 3 times already, but I think I'm really close right now to a fit for me.

That cross brace definitely looks like it would eliminate any flex. So, do you have the grips more turned down than stock to fit your palm better ?

I have the bars pulled back about 2.5 inches and I raise the hand grips up about 1.5 inches and I have the grips turn in about .5". I tell you when I have my feet on the MOP's and the grips this way leaning up against the back rest I'm in heaven. Can't wait to put some miles on this set up.

Yea I just need more ride time to work on it more. I'm opening a new store right now and it has been cutting into my riding therapy. Did I mention I need more ride time?
