A man in Chicago was ordered to pay restitution and seek mental-health treatment for vandalizing a synagogue in the city's Loop business district last February. He broke windows and plastered swastikas on the synagogue walls. Anti-Jewish crimes are four times that of "anti-Muslim" crimes, and you never heard of such convictions."

    FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (– A man who vandalized a Florida mosque in January 2016 and left a raw slab of bacon on its doorstep was sentenced to 15 years in prison on a hate crime conviction, a state attorney's spokesman said on Wednesday.

    Michael Wolfe, 37, pleaded guilty on Tuesday to criminal mischief to a place of worship in a case considered a felony hate crime, said Todd Brown, spokesman for Florida's 18th Judicial District, which includes Brevard and Seminole counties.

Evidently it was an agreed to plea bargain.

In addition to criminal mischief, Wolfe was charged with armed burglary during his arrest. That charge was dropped in court.
"The agreement was to drop the armed burglary in exchange for his plea," Brown said.

He broke in, pulled out a machete, smashed cameras, shattered windows cut down lights, etc. etc...

This also evidently wasn't his first dance with the criminal justice system, he was listed as a "habitual offender."

Not defending the 15 year sentence, just saying don't base your outrage on just a headline...

the thing is, only one news article actually states he entered, all of the rest state it was outside vandalized.   there have been many, many cases of vandalism at churches and synagogues over the yrs and none ever had such a harsh penalty. but then again the courts where meeting with CAIR to determine punishment per many articles.

Bingo! Whether he did this to a Mosque or an Oscar Meyer plant, I'm glad the jackhole is off the streets. The longer the better. Every village needs ONE idiot, they're useful for educating the youth. The rest are completely expendable, IMHO.
