...and came across this one.

https://www.walmart.com/ip/205-60-16-HANKOOK-OPTIMO-H724-91T-BW-Tires/17792287#read-more

Anyone got any experience with it?

Looks like it would be good.

I would shy away from a tire with a 70,000 mile warranty, rubber compound is too hard. Nice rounded profile however.

I would look for a tire that has a "high performance" in its description,  softer rubber compound and better grip.

Just my 2 cents, others will chime in.

Car tire opinions are pretty polarizing on here. But I’ve been running ones with a UTQC rating anywhere from 480 to 640. They have all gripped fine. I haven’t used that tire though. Bill, I’ve become partial to the 195/60 tires.  Smiley

My first CT was a Hankook in the 205 size and I didn't care for it.  Thought CT riding was done after I yanked it off.  BUT.....  I tried the narrower Austone Taxi Tire and found a winner.

Hey Bill,  I ran that tire on my VTX. It was on it when I sold it.
It was ok, had 17k on it and don’t think it would hit 20k.
I think the Austone is way better, even though more money...

It may not matter (at all), but that has an asymmetrical tread pattern.

The rounded profile is what attracted me.  Rubber compound is a consideration. See below.

I have a ATT on a bike and it's a great tire, just looking for something different.

Hey Craig,  They are getting proud of the ATT, it's getting almost as much as a M/T  Smiley  You know me, always messing around with stuff.

Jess, I considered that, but figured it don't matter.  Anyone know different?

Found this.  195 and rated 60K.  Nice rounded profile.

My first few car tires I made sure were symmetrical . It seemed important. Then I went to a Yokohama that wasn't. I couldn't notice any difference. I've run a few different ones now that weren't. They've all been fine.

I would tend to agree not going with a higher mileage say 70K mile tire as well going softer rubber for more grip since doubt much of anyone will get over 25-30K miles or so out of any car tire.  Sure beats though ONLY 10K miles out of most rear cycle tires at double the cost.   tickedoff

I just put one of those on a bike this past fall, haven't gotten enough miles on it yet to form a solid opinion, but first glance, it's a good tire.

Running an ATT on Jade for 17k now.  Gonna stick with it.  Have tried 5 others IIRC.  Satisfied I've found what I was looking for.  Have 2 more on hand to replace Jade's another 5k I guess and also Deerslayer's Vredestein.

I liked the Falken Ziex I used to run but could not find one when I needed to replace.  It is now sold as: Ohtsu Radial Tire - 205/60R16 92H and is currently available on Amazon for $75

It is directional and the UTQG is 420-A-A

I recently sold the bike but it left here with a Michelin Primacy.  Much better than the one than I had on before.  205/60-16.
