It does 0-60 in 3.6 seconds just like the Valkyrie so now this is a Valkyrie related post..WOW..505Hp,7:30 around the 'Ring--a record for a 4 door--Car and Drivers car of the year..202 mph..only $80K..the base one starts at $40k..not that I'd buy one but a lease could be attractive..the wife was all in...I hadn't driven a brand new car in ....15 years?? The sales guy encouraged full acceleration so I obliged--I looked down thinking I was going 70 mph and was off by 30!! If you are bored or too cold to ride the Valkyrie I highly rec a test drive..

Wow, that thing ticks all the boxes but understanding this group, you will get a bunch of looks but no responses and the responses you do get will be about the price...the demos of this group being what they are... Hopefully Alfa Romeo will be able to back this up with the qaulity that will be required in this price point. On paper this thing is a monster. If you do get one, you will get to experience with a car that I have experience with my KTM...I have NEVER seen another GT on the road. The dealer that fixed mine has 1 that has never sold and I thing my selling dealer has used his othe GT as a demo bike... So awesome that the wife is all-in on this. When will you get details on a lease. Where did the 202 mph come from? Everything I have seen online is 191 est. Buy it and then go attend a flying mile to see how fast you can get it going... a link to a Car & Driver article: Alfa Romeo Giulia QuadrifoglioIt is the AWD models but still looks very cool... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x1UptirC9uY

I like it, unique looks, nice cockpit. My only issue: two too many doors.

While the Italian car manufactures have been coming back in recent years Ill wait to see a reliability and repair ability factor. The early Italian cars were a blast to drive in most cases but repair ability was poor. The newer ones out like Maserati now owned by Ferrari were repair nightmares. The 08 and up ones are pretty good though and give a great bang for the buck if not bought new.
Fiat is not good and also a nightmare and I wouldn't buy any new one even though I loved my 124 sport coupe and spyder.
The Mercedes Benz Sl 550 or the E550 is in my opinion two of the best drivable comfortable cars on the road and can be bought used for half the price of the Alpha and my even beat it even with less power.
Ferrari quality has slipped in recent years a bit and been having some issues since they sold the business also but still a great car.
You know guys you have to get over the looks factor, because a car is like a wife in one way she may look good but can you afford the upkeep.
The Alpha looks good and is no doubt quick but the twin turbo thing with a 6 cylinder engine I will want to see them redeem themselves a bit.

the dealership I went to was up north in McKinney Tx where the huge Dallas area boom is going on.lots and lots of money up there...the sales guy had leased 3 cars that day already--inside their garage was a some one of brand new Ferrari and some other car-both brand new...business was very brisk and everybody was very accomodating with zero sales pressure..very nice dealership ....yes I quoted the 192 top speed and he came back w/the 202#--maybe some electronic wizardry quick fix..my 1 mile commute to work is thru one of the highest 100 radar traps in the U.S. I read...speed limit is 40 mph.I can see the 505 HP one speeding way too easily--it just glided--the wife wants the nicely optioned base model for about$50k retail on a lease--she was instantly comfortable in the car--loved the sunroof/backup camera-- a year ago we fell into a base ATS Cadillac with the 2.0 Turbo 2015 w/2k miles on it for only $25k great car but no sunroof or backup camera and the rear visibility is very poor---maybe I should sell my 2003 Zo6 as it is getting harder to get in and of after 15 years..it is fairly primitive but does run the 1/4 mile in the 10's..Many many motorcyclists were killed this year in the Metroplex--the traffic congestion/road rage/drinking/attitudes..I didn't ride 100 miles in town this summer..just way too dangerous..the 2 track days with the RIDE SMART group was easily the most fun all year

50K no thanks, that is 1/2 a house in some parts of the U.S. I thought I would never go over 30K ever on any new vehicle until I bought my new 2017 tundra double cab. am surprised that cadillac had no backup camera as most cars in the 20-25K range all have them as standard or on the next level mid-range package. 200 mph seems fun to do until you get that ticket.... most cars are all nice when new with some minor issues needing fixed still, but reliability and comfort are the 2 most important things to me in any vehicle or cycle on the road.

Hey, so you have had it for a little while. What is the verdict. We might start looking at the Stelvio, the SUV version of the Giulia. We see one every week at the Walmart we shop...it is red and looks amazing.

we leased the base model--loaded up sticker was $50k-which is what Camry's go for anymore-we did the lease option at a $45k price..some $4-5k off sticker for some $5-600 a month for 36 months with some $5k down and $25K to own it at the end..the wife is very very happy---she played soccer in grade school/jr high/college at SMU and did headers forever and has ruined her neck--a few years ago a pick -up crossing the centerline avoiding a turning vehicle clipped her handlebar on a VTX pitched off onto her side at 45-50 mph ..a small liver laceration and hit her head on the pavement--the 1/2 helmet saved her life but dinged her neck again..it shredded all her gear we wear all the time!!.a REAL TROOPER...she cannot ride in my Zo6 or pickup...the Guilia has been a godsend--the car is incredible--you can set a softer ride and then hit soft shock for an even better ride..we can actually take a road trip in it...but much more than that the car is incredible--it goes 150 mph--the handling and ride ..the computer senses what you are up to and changes the transmission program to drag the gears so you are always in the powerband....open the top and roll the windows down..and you are pretty much riding in the wind with a lot more amenities...I highly recommend a test drive...the dealer was very accomadating and I believe has moved from far North Dallas to the ultra-rich Highland Park area...the $80K Quadifoglio one just got paled by the Jack Rousch 700 hp mustang for $39K--they predict a some 40% depreciation for that one-Alfa--but still..if I was a rich bastard I'd spring for it--very awesome car

I believe we are done with cars except my old Fox body Mustang. We will have an SUV of some sort, just more comfortable to get in and out of. And I initially would have only wanted the 505hp version, the turbo 4 with 280 hp is just fine and a whole lot more affordable...we'll see. Will have to go take one for a drive.
