Could you send me some of the Florida weather . I could use it to get me going. Today, it's 16 degrees, 18mph wind, and slippery snow.

Combining that with arthritis in all joints that don't like cold, stopping usage of any Nsaids, and knees that refuse to bend very well, and you have an old geezer who doesn't like to get out in this Indiana weather.

Walking on slippery stuff needs good balance. My balance isn't bad but the reaction time is terrible and unpredictable. sorta like riding with two flat tires.

So goes the saga of this stiff jointed almost 90 year old and one too dumb to go south in winter. Wink

Wayne

Not for nothing but, your Miata told Santa that it wishes you would rent a condo or room or even a mobile home for 3 months somewhere its warm down in the deep south  like the panhandle or where Stuffy is   Her tires dont like the cold weather either

You cant take it with you and if you plan properly it wont break the bank  Bonus you can hang with friends outside and let the sun warm those bones

Oss

Yeah maybe not this year but you sure can plan for next year

OK Wayne, here ya go buddy. Hope this helps, it's a bit cooler today....high of 68, supposed to be in the 70's for the foreseeable future. As you can see, it's bright and sunny so really good for the mental health as well. Note the green grass in these shots, it will turn a little brown later in the season but not totally.  cooldude

PS: I agree with Oss 100%.  Wink

That's the 7th fairway that runs behind our house, shirtsleeve weather to be sure.

These two were taken off our back patio, which is rather barren now. With cooler weather the plants we usually have back there do better inside.

Front door sans the black wrought iron railings on the steps. We had a new drive and front walk poured, and they poured a new step for us as well so had to remove the rails. Waiting for them to come back with a hammer drill and some Tapcon screws.

Another shot toward the side where you can see our neighbor's beautiful Bougainvillea that climbs on his fence. I keep my side trimmed a bit since it has some really nasty thorns. The yard swing is handy for evening neighborly meetings during a time we refer to as "wine-thirty".......  cooldude  Looks like the plant holder on the front wall is hung crooked, have to talk to the "houseboy" about that.  Grin

What a breath of fresh (and warm air, LOL)  Thanks John (sorta) Next best thing to being there!

Oss, good idea.

Here is a nice photo that I took a few minutes ago through the back patio door. A little fuzzy, couldn't open the screen door, frozen in place.  Looks warm but isn't.

On a good note, I'll be going over to Mark's for a great Christmas dinner shortly. My daughter is picking me up, The Mazda Six has snow tires all around and I don't mind driving but Mark's driveway is limited so less cars the better. Not good to park on the street, snow removal, ya know.
