Be interesting to see what the reaction is by the various enforcement agencies.  :uglystupid2:

..

C'mon guys the link states "NOTE: It is unclear who originated this action."

There's enough fake manure on the internet without willingly spreading it.

That the signs were put up isn't fake, it's true. Who put 'em up isn't known, I think it's a safe bet it wasn't the government though. The signs are far too accurate and true for a state like California to put 'em up!

Five years of my work life with Cali State highways was in the sign and delineation section. As the supv. I was responsible for about 20,000 signs; inventory, evaluation, ordering replacements and installation of all types sizes and shapes, and the ground troops and equipment that go with the program. As with any agency there is a bureaucracy behind every aspect. Including the sign dept. and "new" installs. With access to a computerized cutter/plotter machine and rolls of tape to create the graphics the sign could be fabricated anywhere. Based on what I know, the sign(s) in question are clearly a hoax. A clever hoax mocking Cali politics.  8)

"Democrats need the votes!"

The line across the bottom tells me it's a hoax.

Hoax or not, it emphasizes to me that Cal. should just leave the US.
Or at least take no more tax dollars than what they pay in.
edit-turns out they are Not a hoax,
Caltrans spokesman Mark Dinger acknowledges removal of one with another to be removed soon.
take personal responsibility and keep your word

Too bad "Sanctuary City" doesn't mean for tax paying American citizens.
Some of whom are Veterans.
Get out while there's still time.
Aot of guys with burn marks, gnarly scars and funny twitches ask why I spend so much on safety gear

Too bad Trump can't pardon all the criminals (which would fall under those needing sanctuary) already in the California Penal System with the condition of once released they stay in California.

Really funny, I had a good laugh thanks to it partially because it is true*.

This week I had to renew my driver license (DL) and was told by DMV-CA that I had to present a current I-94 electronic form. For people who are not aware, it is a form that is generated whenever someone enters in USA *legally* and is *not* a permanent resident, like myself.

In the past, the immigration officer would provide it to you at the point of the admission (i.e airport) but it was replaced by an electronic form (i.e. in 2-5 days a website allows you to print a copy of it).

My last international travel was to Europe (Spain and UK) and it turns out that this time the immigration officer misspelled my name in the I-94 system. To sort that out, I had to contact my company's lawyer but that is another story.

In the past, *before* the electronic format, you could verify at the immigration if the form was filled correctly because they provided a copy of it when they returned your passport.

What I think is 'funny' is that illegals *don't* need a I-94 at all to get a DL in California. They just mark a field in the DL form (DL-44) as 'dont have a I-94' and 'dont have a SSN') and done!

The system as it is today penalizes legal immigrants while granting a free pass to illegals.

* with the exception of the 'votes' thing, unless you believe in the 'millions of illegal' voters story... fact check: is bullshit.

I think I'd just check both boxes and go to the front of the line.  :)

@meathead: yeah, I guess some people would do this.
;D

Even if this hack could 'solve' the issue in theory, that would imply to lying to the government (i.e. as I have both a I-94 and the SSN).

I shared this rant as an example for how the system is broken.

I understand  :cooldude: I probably wouldn't really check the boxes, but I'd be tempted.
