Rode this 3 wheeled sucker into town and loaded it with $200 worth of groceries on Christmas Eve.
People were pointing and laughing...  Undecided

They were probably just laughing because you were stuck in the rush hour traffic. Pinkie out, my man!  cooldude

There is currently an Ice jam on the St Clair river causing flooding, Larry Gill lives right on the river there.  How are you making out Larry?

that is what I was thinking, big man on a girly bike... 2funny

no worries, I get that laugh some when I drive my 250cc scooter being 285lbs....  all until I pass their _ss doing 65+mph on the hwy. thinking I have a supercharger or NOS on it.... cooldude   From a distance it looks to be a normal smaller scoot, but is pretty big framed/engine for it's size even with me on it.  My frame just makes the cycle's frame look small is all...

Agreed Joe.  Same 7* last night in VA.  What is so crazy about this weather is it's duration.  I mean, we've occasionally had this cold and even colder over the years, but in 25yrs, we've never been at or well below freezing for several weeks at a time.  Never.  It's getting old.  Good to be retired, and I am trying to emulate the bears and just sleep my way through it.

Except when it gets to the high 90's w humidity, it's not much fun for me either.  I am not in good enough shape and it makes me woozy (at some point), even drinking lots of water.  But that usually doesn't last for weeks at a time either.

I cannot remember hoping for 40's before, but I am now.  (maybe next week)

They claim high 50's low 60's for late next week here I've got to be back at work tomorrow evening near the Kentucky line. I just wasted two weeks vacation with temp never getting up to anywhere near going on a motorcycle road trip .

Well, that's bad luck.  But two weeks off work (in any weather) must never be viewed as a bad thing.

On the upside, I'm sure the wife was glad to have you hanging around for 2 weeks (of grumpy).   Grin

It's FINALLY supposed to get over freezing (32F) tomorrow afternoon sometime - first time in over a week. I HATE cold !!!

Quote from my usual local station on this cold snap --

"As of noon, the temperature at RDU is 23 degrees and has been at or below freezing since 2 AM last Sunday, or 155 consecutive hours. The old record for such a stretch at RDU was 157 hours ending on January 16, 1982. We have a good chance to tie that record at 2 PM this afternoon and break it at 3 PM. Then, we're forecasting 32 for a high Sunday. If we we sneak past that by a degree or two, the streak ends Sunday afternoon - if not, the new record will extend into sometime around late morning or midday Monday."

My outside thermometers are indicating well below 32F right now....

I just came back from the mailbox, after skipping three days.

Every bit of it was junk.

I'll go out next week sometime.

Man, if I jumped here, I'd be afraid of being sucked into the polar vortex and ending up somewhere in Saskatchewan  (yeah, I know, the cold is moving down, not up)
