My wife and I escaped the MN winter for a week and are in the Cape Coral/Ft Myers area and looking to rent a bike for a day. Does anyone have any suggestions? Make doesn't matter so much, just would like to be on two wheels.
Thanks

If you are an AMA (American Motorcyclist Association) member, Eaglerider gives you a discount (5 o 10%).

Yep.  Eagle rider.

Someone on thevog.com  a victory forum stated that Harley is cutting some deal with Eagle Rider, maybe cheaper rates or provide more bikes, that they must only supply Harleys.  In the past a good dealership would have Indians, Honda Goldwings and F6Bs, Can Am Spyders, maybe Slingshots.  I do notice Ft. Myers only shows Harleys.  I so hope this is not true, but Hey, if it is not a Harley then it is not worth riding  - Right.

You might be right about Eagle Rider only renting H.D. I rented a Indian from them last year but looks like only H.D.  And they do have a sell on renting a H.D. going on now.

When I researched rentals in FL last year, Eaglerider had Wings and B's avaialble, but not out of Tampa where I wanted to rent from and return to. Wound up renting an Ultra from Tampa HD who were really great to deal with. Booked for a Saturday AM pickup and the bonus was that for a "one day" rental I could keep it until late afternoon the following day, so almost two days riding for one day/night charge. Total including insurance was just over $200 - maybe worth checking out and the drive to Tampa?

Rented a Harley Ultra Clasic in Daytona (Feb 2007).

It included unlimited mileage but the sure looked surprised when I brought it back from a 24hr rental with 400+ miles on the clock.

The rental was under $200 but I remember that you had to have a credit card that they could put a $20k hold on.
