It poured the last 36 hours and the salt and ice are gone.
checked tires, perfect air pressure for winter front 39 rear 43
Put the jacket liner under the mesh jacket and started the Valkyrie right up. Warmed it up and took a nice ride up along the Hudson River to the Annsville Circle. It was 31 in Ossining when I left and bright sunshine, a stiff breeze off the river and no other bikes (what the heck is up with that anyways?) Stopped by Indian Point reactors but didnt feel like taking any pics, just sat and enjoyed the breeze off the river for a while
Ended up turning off the jacket control and left only the gloves on
It was only 25.2 miles but it felt great after several weeks of not riding.
When I came back I remembered that I was bummed that I had forgotten to harvest a small plot of potatoes before the deep freeze so I spent some time in the side garden. This is what I got for 10 minutes work in a 2x3 area

I would guess 5-6 lbs of yukon gold organic potatoes. They will make fine mashed potatoes later with a steak on the grill and some cauliflower rice
Its a northern thing, riding in the winter, southerners may not get it but that is ok They are spoiled by daytime highs in the 50's and up most of the winter
Anyone get out today?
