Bloody snowed again last night. Maybe close to 2 inches here.

No photos cause we all know what the bloody stuff looks like.

Gonna be below freezing all day. With wind chill it will be about 15F.  Angry

10 am it's 24 with wind chill 13.  No snow but sleet and freezing rain early this morning in northwest Florida. Starting to thaw from the sun but still horrible outside.  I don't think I'll be riding today

Hey it's winter.  After nearly a week of higher than normal temps/sunshine, we're due for another series of winter storms starting tonight, yes white will happen.   Guess where these storms will go when they are done with us??

Use to get a January thaw in the last portion of January first of February.  Now it happen when ever.  We do like it, but it makes the rest of winter a little harder.

I could never live in the "no mans land" of shitty non-winter winters...Either give me REAL winter that I can deal with (ice fishing, trapping and snowmobiling) or give me summer.  The damp "cold" rainy/snow/sleety weather is the worst!!!  tickedoff

Here in NE Indiana we had a light  dusting of snow on Christmas and the same since.  Probably only a half loaf of bread and 1 quart of milk.

Actually, less snow and colder temps mean more salt. Our city of 17,000 has used 460 tons of salt this season and that doesn't include the beet juice. (beet juice lowers the salt's melting temp and makes it work better.)

Forecast for Friday is 55 degrees F in beautiful western Colorado and a couple of hours riding is imminent during the 3 to 5 PM window of warmth in the valley.
But, the no winter, no water alert has been sounded ; sorrily we shall pay up come summertime. La Nina.

According to my grandson, the south is closed after a heavy frost. He moved down there a year ago from up here and said you ought to see these people with a little snow. Demolition derby time and everything is closed.    2funny

Some interesting comments from our Northern peanut gallery.

Some of us have been in their locations when they get the first snow of the year or a wet loose snow like we get.

Guess what they do not handle it any better than we do, despite what they claim.

I've got a new motorcycle waiting on a break in the weather and some rain to wash the salt off the roads so I can ride her home from Northern Indiana. Needless to say, I'm a little impatient also this year.

Might I ask that everyone "please burn more fossil fuels".  Grin

Whenever there is a forecast for "SNOW" or other "WINTER PRECIPITATION" - you can count on the grocery stores being cleeared out of "French Toast" (bread, milk and eggs). This time was no different - we got 5 inches snow at my place, and I've only been outside to check how much snow and to clear the snow off the cars since Tuesday night. It was also 14 F this morning for the low... supposed to get above freezing, then back down to 22F tonight. Sunday is supposed to get to 60 - maybe I'll get the Valk out if the roads are good.

Smiley let me tell ya about the Mohave desert......

No grass so we don’t mow the lawn

No trees (pines only) so we don’t rake leaves

Well it does snow now and then...... up on the mountain

“Look at the snow” “yeah it’s nice” “up there”

No shoveling plowing etc

I've been so frustrated with it, that I took her out yesterday just because it was sunny. Didn't realize it was 15 degrees until I got off and checked the weather.
