just found yet another used Valkyrie tourer pretty much stock with only 40K for 3800 bucks, looks pristine.  Do I bite the bullet and buy yet another cycle to make it a stable of 6, 3 being Valkyries?????

I have not seen a good used running Valkyrie under 3K so far, at least under 80K miles anyways.

Is this an addiction or what?   :-*

as these bikes age,  the price keeps dropping to the point it makes it harder and harder to resist NOT buying....   What else for 3-4K is out there that compares?

one minor issue is my Progressive insurance in WI limits to ONLY 4 cycles on ONE policy thus making my 5th insured a stand alone policy and the yearly premium is double that on one bike vs. all others on the other 4 bike policy.  Another issue is storage - i have NONE left.

The emperor has no clothes

I thought you had said you only ride a couple thousand miles a year ?

I picked a 97 tourer 10 days ago for 3100 it had 44K miles no dents no scratches paint still glossy black. All stock other then corbin seats and back rests and more chrome than I like, bag rails, bags have luggage rack on them, tires new a yr. ago with less then 1k miles. its on the stand and going through it. Going to need a few things and remove a few things. Original pet-rooster owner said.

actually between the bikes I would say 4-5K miles per year is all though.  Not really worth the expense (or hastle of finding a place for it) since technically 1 should last me the rest of my life, right?

It is an addiction, but a good one. :cooldude:

I have more Valks than 1 rider can ride and I won't wear out 1, never mind 5.

But, if the right deal came around, like the last 2, I'd make it 6.

that is just it,  if you assume no major repairs or hickups on owning a GOOD DEAL price low valk, keep it 5-10+ years and not loose a dime on the resale of it besides tires/batteries/fluids/insurance, etc.  I do not see much of any good running used valkyries under 3K but in that 3-4K range,  how much lower in resale can they go?  Not much lower IMO right?

Can't really speak to the future value of Valks, my crystal ball is on the blink. :)

I don't look at future value at resale as a issue, at least not now in my life.  Maybe that's foolish, maybe not. :-\

I have them for my present enjoyment.  Hopefully the future will be the same.

I paid less for #2 & #3 together than I did for #1 new and I paid less for #4 & #5 together than I did for either #2 or #3.

I also did a ton of work on all 4 used ones I bought, but that was labor with love and I thoroughly enjoyed bringing them back.

I missed a Tourer out of CT a couple of weeks ago that I suspected was HydroLocked.  Owner was asking $1500.00.  I would have bought that.
