Wind deflectors for cold weather riding

I didn't mention it in the video but these can be removed in 30 seconds when the weather warms and you want the air flow again. The video does have the wind deflectors on my other bike, but I also have them on my Valkyrie and they work great. Maybe it's something you could make use of and they're easy to build...

neat idea, but I would reverse mount them facing in front to avoid flapping hitting the gas tank while hwy. riding.  I would be afraid while turning the handlebars fully to the side to scratching the tank hitting it.

Yeah, they do hit the tank a bit, but that's why they're soft.  the metal mounts don't hit the tank even turned all the way to stops, just the soft stuff.  also, the way the wind pushes the flaps, it's actually how they best seal out the cold to have them push back and touch the tank.  I guess if someone's worried about a few light scuffs on the tank, this isn't what they'll want to install.  me, I don't mind it and I've run them now for over a year on my Valk.

So here's a video with the deflectors mounted on my Valkyrie. They do sit higher on the valkyrie because it has higher bars (although they are stock) than my other bike has.
