A lot of stuff built up on my computers at work over the years. Now that I am
retired, backups of lots of it are on the hard drive (1 terabyte ssd really) of
my laptop. Perhaps some of you remember a meet-in-the middle from
four or five years ago where we got in a deluge....

Been there done that.  We had a patriot guard ride for a murdered sheriff and it rained like that the entire mission tickedoff

You said you were thinking of retiring, but now you have?

Congratulations!   cooldude

I don't mind a little rain, but when it turns into Uboat commander time, the fun is hard to find.

It is fun watching others trying to hop into a pair of rain pants and falling in the mud.

The only good thing about having your bike out on a day like that is hey... Free bike wash!

(Admittedly, that's about the only way I wash mine anymore...)

I remember that day well.

All of us fared much better than the poor guy that had left the top own on his Corvette.

You said you were thinking of retiring, but now you have?

Yep. There's still plenty that needs doing, just not the stuff
I was expecting...

There's never not plenty that needs doing.

But now there's lots more time not to do it in.    Grin

So when did you stop beating your cats?

I hope Carolyn is better from her horse mishap (and without residual disability).

Congrats on "making it" to retirement Mike.  Doesn't seem like 5 years has passed since I exited gainful employment.  I guess that old saying "time fly's when you're having fun" applies.

I want to come up there and ride with y'all. I have a side job now, and I usually go in
on Thursdays and Fridays. I'm already here today, but when you know
you're riding on Saturday and you can tell me on Thursday I'll typically
have lots of leeway. It is understood that sometimes I might be gone
for several weeks because I'm on a motorcycle ride  cooldude

Anywho... I'll come up there and stay in Knoxville on Friday night sometimes
when there's riding to do...

I'll keep that in mind to let you know... Wimp called me last night was the first I knew of this ride. Actually he wanted to go today and I let him know Reb wanted to go on Saturday.
