As soon as that red light started blinking I unhooked the tender and it started  Yes !!!

Sorry to hear your woes Baldo,

I saw 2 different troopers in unmarked tahoe's giving speed appreciation awards on the way up 9  It was very breezy going over Bear Mtn bridge and along the north side of the mountain.

Saw about a dozen bikes, harleys bmw no others up in the Alpine country.  Took a few pics of people drilling in the ice for fishing, playing hockey and goofing off on Lake Tiorati.  Its just at freezing up on top of 7 lakes drive  Did not need electrics today after all

106 is STILL closed at Sebago Circle, probably will be till late April due to ice and snow.

All told, a great recovery from a lousy start and I am greatful indeed.

Oh yeah, also got to blow by a harley ridden by a very large man going up 9A right at that sharp left turn at the 9-9A split on the way home.  That is my favorite place to lean all the way over so I guess I have no excuse for not being in a great mood the rest of the week

Hope some of you got out

This is Lake Tiorati

Used to jump off some big ass rocks about 10' into the cold water as a teenager not too far from where this pic was taken.

3-4 years ago when my then 5-6 year old battery started it up after fully charging it up first ride of season and fired right up letting it warm up 5-10 minutes.  I shut engine off to fiddle with the interstates radio settings while key was on but bike NOT running for ONLY 5-7 minutes tops.  guess what - went to fire it up to go for a LONG FIRST ride of the season and deader than a doornail, dead battery.  Luckily was still in late March first day uncovering it and not stranded somewhere.

speaking of batteries, I think this will be 5th year on that new battery so my luck might run out this year as well.  luckily I have a backup honda valkyrie I can swap it out with in case I get stranded somewhere just have to call a family member at home to bring it to me.

YUASA batteries from amazon.com is cheapest I found around 65 bucks or so but not saying they will last any longer than teh cheaper batteries either.  5-6 years tops is what I have been getting here in WI.
