Grumpy

Dang it, went to the horsepitial this am, got cut on and gained this dang thing. Be wearing it for at least a month. Guess that puts a cabosh on riding.  :tickedoff:

Life is like a hot bath. It feels good while you're in it, but the longer you stay in, the more wrinkled you get.

I think I need my eyes checked also, when I first looked at the post title I thought "why would he post that."  Then had to laugh at myself when I took at second look.  ;D  Sure hope that mess clears up soon for you.  :cooldude:

I hear ya, Grumpy.  Heal soon and do any therapy that they tell you to do.  I had an accident in early November and broke my left clavicle.  It's getting better but then had 23oz of fluid buildup drained from my left hip, but came back.  I had surgery for that, so I'm waiting for the doc's OK to start moving around again.  I haven't been able to ride for 3 months.  It's killing me!  But, as Chrisj said, that first ride will be glorious!  Take care.

Also, when I read the subject line, I thought you got something that had a DCT (dual clutch transmission).  Foolish me, what was I thinking?

What a Wuss, I'm sure u can rig something up  :cooldude:

Grumpy

Hell, still learning to walk with it, the heel is in the middle of the foot. Keep trying to fall backwards.
Had 2 bone spurs removed, and the archilies tendon repaired. when the pain meds wear off, I have a bottle of Knob Creek with my name on it.

Time to rig up a suicide shifter for the Valk.  Who knows, there may be a market for the old-schoolers that are building custom bikes.

On a serious note, my son is missing his left foot. When he rides my Valk, he hooks a strap to the shifter and runs it to his right elbow. Just lift the elbow to upshift. He can downshift just by pressing with his left foot prosthesis. That's if you really need a ride. :o
I ride a motorcycle because nothing transports me as quickly from where I am to who I am.

Grumpy it sure seems like you should have a heel, toe shifter somewhere it your garage.

Unfortunately that won't help much when you have to stop and put your foot down.

Heal up soon.

Wow Valker, that's awesome.  Hats off to him.  Funny, I don't feel so bad now.  Maybe there's still hope for me yet!

Brings to mind the 2018 Goldwing. Automatic. Of coarse there is still the stopping part. I do it one footed sometimes. God's speed in your healing.......

You know, that "project" ? The one that is quite well along and left alone?  maybe you need to finish it   Grumpy Grumpy Grumpy!! What are we going to do with you?

pocket aces

Thats what first came to my mind too was a new 2018 DCT Goldwing.
Rest up and have a speedy recovery!!

Have one on the bike, but would play hell trying to hold the bike up.

Hope it heals quickly Bill.  I had the same cast on last spring.  Had to wear it for 2 months.

You could get some of those "landing gear" thingies that drop down like training wheels when you stop.
