Why We Like Our Valkyries

Why do we like our Valkyries?  Is it the looks we get from people, the smoothness of the engine, or because it has 6 cylinders?  So, what's your reason?  I'm anxious to read the replies.

Personally, I could care less about the looks we get from people.  I like the Valks for their functionality.  They do all things well except off road/dirt, (altough RDA Bull and Henry008 may say they do ok based on personal experience).  They are smooth, comfortable, fast enough, reliable and generally easy to work on.  And they are relatively cheap to own and operate, gas mileage is on of their biggest faults IMHO, but one I can live with.

I would only add that for a big fat girl, they rock in the twisties.

I would own mine if the best they got was 25mpg; I just don't care about that at all.  I am glad mine have 7 gal tanks though.

To me it is really all about that engine.
Smooth powerful tractable, pulls great from low rpms, very little maintanence.

All about the engine/drivetrain as well for me. 6 cylinders, 6 carbs, Shaft drive, veltety smooth, tons of power, lots of chrome and comfortable.
Not some dirt cheap to manufacture, simplistic, ho-hum, everybody has one V-Twin.

Absolutely Loved my Valk Interstate & thought it would be the last bike I ever owned.

Something about the WOW factor along with comfort / Handling / Durability.

Came across the 06 Wing I own now and STOLE it - Which then I had to make a choice as to keeping which one.

The Wing won out - Comfort for 2-up and handling - along with fuel injection made the choice for me.

The Wow factor is missed - But we are still in the wind with a bunch of Great Valk Friends and will continue to do so.

  I'm loving my Tourer with the size of that Gorgious 6-clyinder Chromed out beauty. The size, the sound, the color scheme, sodona red/pearl and total power!   So I got a IS for all the same reasons but for longer rides, a Fast Black Beauty going thru metamorphosis at this time.

It's all about the Food it takes me too    Like others have said, It does everything well 

U can take it to 7-11 or across the Country. Plus I love how there all different yet the same

Let's add today,  some guy on his sporster im guessing needs his eyes checked as he surely did not look at this massive motor carefully. I pull up to 41 east bound on route 50 bypass bville, light turned green and this rider decides to share my lane with him, something I would never do with a rider I do not know. He blips his throttle and it was game on, the grossly mismatched run had me pulling away at twice the thrust of his full throttle and his disgusting  show of week motor.  I did not let off to well into triples, quickly catching traffic that was in front of me, maneuvering through traffic I look back and I guess he wants to be humiliated again and again the Valkyrie destroyed in one of the worst mismatched runs ever.  Needless to say that was probably the fastest run to the Speedway Dumpster ever.    Why we like our  Valkyries.  

Sure wonder what was going through this helmetless HD riders mind.  Yes that was a Honda.
