I'm thinking  of putting a outlaw trike kit  up on my interstate and I'm wondering if anybody out there has put it on   there  bike already and how do they like it

As far as I know, the trike kits that leave the original motorcycle wheel on
are "junk"...

On the other hand, there's several people with "real" trike conversions on their
Valkyries and they can ride like the wind in the twisties...

Friend of mine I ride with had one of those "conversion" deals on his M/C. Outrigger?? Anywho appeared to be very easy to high center in parking lot depressions. I believe a place in Minnesota does a front wheel trike conversion. There was an outrigger setup for sale in our classifieds some time back. Good luck with yer choice how some ever yo go!  cooldude RIDE SAFE.

Me and my buddy cursed near got run over at Honda Homecoming one year by a 'trike kit' Valk.

The rider dropped the outrigger wheel off the raised pavement, lost control, and almost ran us down.  Two out rigger wheels plus the regular rear wheel add up to disaster, IMO. Save your money and go to a true three wheel  trike.

I had a California Side Car conversion kit on my Valk and loved it.  Mike heard me squeal the brakes a few times following him through the hills, just so I didn't run over him.  (I'm heavier than he is, going downhill if fun)

Those outrigger (training wheel) deals are for the birds.  If a true trike is out of your price range (kit installed, or new used trike), better to just go to a lighter bike.

PS:  Don't forget to look carefully at your state laws on what happens if your two-wheel motorcycle becomes a four-wheel motorcycle.  That might turn it magically into a car for all purposes, like taxes, registration, titles, insurance, seat belts, inspections, emissions, air bags, and Lord knows what else.

It might be OK if viewed as a temporary (on or off again) deal, I don't know (even if your intent is to leave it on all the time, just don't say that).

It's not like Mass. isn't known for lots and lots of benevolent regulations.

Even if the average cop might not know or care, or give you a pass, down here in VA they can get you in the annual inspection process.
