I now this is not what the VRCC site was founded for, however we never now what we might be used for.

This is a copy of an email I received this day from our very good friends.

Good Morning and not a happy Valentine's day in this email.  I've addressed this email to those who I believe will pray. My daughter, Kim and her husband, Erick Todd's niece, Heidi Todd, has been kidnapped.  They have 5 children, and this is their middle child.  Brittany is in the hospital after being assaulted while Kevin was away for work.  That's all I know.

Jesus, bring justice, comfort, healing, resolution in this world we just cannot fathom.

What in the hell is wrong with some people. Kids should be left alone and allowed to grow up unmolested. Adulthood with all it's attendant problems arrives unbidden soon enough. I also believe child molesters should only be convicted once and then eliminated. Or for the squeamish first and only conviction life without the possibility of parole. Put it-the molester-in gen pop and let it be known what they are. Far too many stories of multiple convictions of the SAME molester. PRAYERS up for Heidi from the Missouri Ozarks. I M H O a child molester is by far one of the lowest life forms on this or any other planet. Having Three Daughters and some Granddaughters and Nieces I am in a way Invested in what you and yours are being put through. I Will PRAY for the best possible outcome. No WAY No HOW does a child molester EVER deserve a second chance. RIDE SAFE.

We were just talking about all this last night.  It is horrendous what is happening in our country and how criminals come and go through our justice system like a revolving door. Criminals getting bolder and bolder all the time. Crimes being downgraded, pre-trial diversions, no room in county jails, etc.  Criminals know what's going on in our justice system and are laughing at it.  One guy put it very pointedly, (is that a word), that crooks gone wild may start getting some vigilante justice if things don't change.  I have listened to some really pissed off people about crime without due punishment.

Heidi's photo was on the A B C evening news tonight. IF I had my druthers I'd druther her picture was NEVER needed to be on the evening news.  Still PRAYING for a good outcome for her.  RIDE SAFE.

When I read your first plea for help, even apologizing (!) for "using" this site for something non-motorcycle, I just immediately felt the need to pray. You are never "using" people by asking for help, no more than you are "using" God by asking for His. So, so happy for your positive outcome. Thanks for letting us all know.

Bless the cop on the street who acted on reasonable suspicion.  He grabbed the child while the suspect slept, and the suspect took off.  

The suspect is a repeat offender.  I doubt he will offend again, except maybe in prison (where he will reside for the rest of his life... plus a few years extra) .

Tecklenburg said authorities have not yet determined a motive for the attack and abduction.

You think he was just lonely and wanted someone to talk to?????  

Proof of motive is never strictly necessary for criminal conviction (though it can greatly help in securing convictions, so the jury understands what happened).
