I've installed the Tsukayu hard bags on Joanne's VStar using their proprietary brackets. Those brackets fastening points to the bags are about 7"x10" and the bags vibrate just a little bit. There's been no damage due to mounting for over 2 years.

The "Easy Bracket" system looks good, but you may need to modify them with rigid extensions because the best I can tell is that their fastening points may be at about 4" or so. You'll want to spread the support load over as much of the side panels of the bags as you can. I would guess over time with the load being supported within a 4"x8" area or so could end up fracturing the fiberglass. You could also add an internal plate to reduce the risk in lieu of modifying the brackets.

Also, I suspect those Easy Brackets were designed originally for smaller leather saddlebags and I recall even then an internal support plate was recommended.

Will those brackets work on OEM hardbags?

Thanks Farther,
I will call them and check them out, I didn't realize they even had them.

T-Bird,
That is my question, I am hoping that I can get a report on how they worked from someone that used the quick release brackets on their factory bags, or Tsukayu bags.
