I might be picking some of these up in August, my Swedish connection is going to get one first and let me see it before I buy.  German and CE Approved

Those look really good and I specially like the size.

IMO, amber is the way to go for turn signals, it catches your eye a lot more than red turn signals.

When are you getting them?, keep us posted  :cooldude: :cooldude:

Lighting has really come a long way, these are super nice  :cooldude:

LEDs sometimes are not that bright during the day so make sure you get a chance to check them out in daylight.

I will check them out when I get to my friends place in August however he did say CE is strict, we will see. I really want to not see any resemblance of blinkers on the Drifters. Hoping for a cleaner retro look as like bikes that did not have a blinker in the 30s.   Also want to get an older style headlight and mount higher. I must tinker!

Jack, I've ridden behind a friend on his CVO Hog with OE LED signals and lights many times.  In sunlight, it often looks like he has no tail lights lights at all, then when he goes into the shade I think he's hitting his brakes (and I hit mine).  It isn't brakes, it was just led visibility in sun vs shade.  He doesn't like me mentioning it, so I don't anymore.

And I don't find myself out at night much, looks like I can't win this bent towards a look before blinkers, for the Drifters. I need a star wars lightsaber blinker!

That is exactly what I was talking about , although I also understand that some LEDs do not have that issue. Don't know  the reason behind it but some LEDs seem to be ok during the day.

Jerry
Don't give up, they might be just fine, but I think you should place an order before August so we can see for ourselves  ;D

Not sure if it saves money to put in the suitcase on the way home vs shipping.   My friend Stafan will be getting a pair soon.

Now I have one of the LED arrays with 80 bulbs or so that is a plug and play in one of my valk tail lights, and you can see that in daylight just fine (and it's old, but it must be the 80 bulbs).  But that Hog has dual OE tail lights like small turn signals, so I'm thinking single bulbs.  They are OK even in overcast or partly cloudy daytime, but in bright direct sun, they just disappear.

I bought some Kuryakyn small silver bullet 2-stage led lights to add to a Yamaha 1100 where the aftermarket hard bags I added interfered with the large OE lollipop (bulb) signals, and those were also plenty bright in daylight, but again, though very small, they had an array of multiple bulbs.  I had all kinds of  problems getting them to work properly because of Yamaha common ground issues (even with a new electronic flasher unit).  They had to be signals, and with two stage, I wanted turn and brake lights, but I had to settle for turn and run lights.

I agree with Jack.. even some single bulb LEDs may be fine in daylight (today), with newer technology, and brighter bulbs (I dunno)?  When I went to Kuryakyn just now to look the silver bullets up I saw them talking about some new(er) Superbright LEDs.  Maybe these are new single bulb leds... I'm no expert.

After my experience of weeks of trying to get those silver bullets to work properly on that Yamaha, I decided I would never use leds in signals again.  But that's my lousy auto electrical ability, not the lights.
