Class Firearm is $200 per transfer, per weapon.
Somewhere above 200,000 licensed before the 1986 law stopped any new ones to the public.
Since 1932 only 1 legal full auto was involved in a crime and it was by a police officer.
But congress banned any new ones for the public anyway.

Stupid politicians and there knee jerk reaction to everything is BAN SOMETHING.
Whether it helps is not material to the way they think.

As for bumpstocks, NOTHING increases the rate of fire an AR15 can attain, being a spring/recoil mechanical device the design determines maximum rate of fire. Any good rifleman with an educated trigger finger can out run a bump stock and in doing so shoot more accurately than any bumpstock equipped AR15.

So if they ban bumpstocks, what is next trigger fingers?

As for smaller magazines, a decent rifleman can swap magazines and continue firing so fast many cannot tell the difference. So I guess after banning larger magazines we will need ban fast moving hands.

Come on folks wise up, banning tools is NOT going to fix anything and never has.

 Good point Pete. I can personally empty the 50 drum magazine of my Tommy Gun in a matter of seconds. Not as fast as a 1927A1 could of course but fast enough.

I guess seeing these useful idiots following their marching orders from others is a smidgen better than their previous hobby of eating Tide Pods... But just a smidgen.

What a terrible way to describe these kids.  uglystupid2

Useful Idiots is a term of political jargon, and it 100% fits them.

useful idiot
NOUN
Politics
derogatory
(Originally) a citizen of a non-communist country sympathetic to communism who is regarded (by communists) as naive and susceptible to manipulation for propaganda or other purposes;
(more widely) any person similarly manipulable for political purposes.
I stand by my statement. That might be the most irresponsible thing I've ever seen you post.

Coming from the king of irresponsible posting,I guess I'll have to take your word for it.  But I think Serk's terminology is accurate.

Personally, I need an AR15 because I can't afford these:

With some practice and technique you can outrun a bumpstock and get very close to full auto RPM with better accuracy. Have fun and it is good for your technique and safety.

If it weren't for Ronald Reagan stabbing gun owners in the back, you could afford those...  tickedoff

I'm tempted not to post this because I know the anti-liberty folks here will jump up and down and roll around in the victim's blood some more, but a bump stock can outrun the fastest shooter on Earth, by just a hair...

With a binary trigger Jerry is faster. Half the trigger pulls.

Jerry also has another technique, where he generates 12 rounds a second.

Shhhhh! Now they'll start demanding Jerry have his finger surgically amputated!  Lips Sealed

With a 25 round mag on my Mk II Ruger target pistol I used to be able to fire so quick people in the next lanes at the indoor range would look to see what auto pistol I had.

Couple things;

I read on here that banning 30 round mags, which are std capacity btw, (re Guidebook for Marines M16A1) would help. Really? Help what?

Bump stocks are a mechanical add on with no purpose than to increase the cyclic rate of fire. Basically they are a chicken stuff way to get around the regulation. I am amazed that they were ever let through. However, they are a toy that is about useless. I can guarantee you that a competent rifleman with a bolt gun in Vegas would have caused a lot more damage.

Words have killed more people than any class of weapon ever devised, (Mein Kampf, Mao's little red book..) in the same manner as a rifle does, a person does bad with it.

The Army discouraged us from using full auto because of the decreased accuuracy.

And even on full auto we were taught to fire in 3 round bursts.

 A good friend of mine is a cop and a EST trainer for the dept. He says they hand the new recruits a full auto MP5 with three mags full of ammo. He tells them to get it out of their system because that will be the last time they will do it. My friend has good enough trigger control that he can fire ONE round with a MP5.
