We lost power a couple of hours ago. My wife just called to let me know we now have a leaky roof. Lots of shingles in the yard.

90 knot winds, driving rain.

Nor'easter!

My friends from Quincy and Hingham say it's a "pissah" there on the coast.
My family in Rhode Island...not so bad except for the winds and the threat of a hard snow.

Batten down. Shocked

Winds woke me up this (yesterday) morning.  Then the power went out, trees down all over the region.  I thought most of my deadwood was down, but was wrong.  My 80yo oaks were rocking.  Highest sustained winds since I moved here in '92.  50-70 gusts all day.  Snapped off three 4 X 4 posts and dropped three sections of my perimeter solid fence.  Started finding shingles all over my back yard and thought I had roof trouble, but they are not mine (wrong color).  Someone else has a roof problem.  So bad, it was just not safe being outdoors.

I took off early to get gas for a generator (more than I had), and lost my brakes right next to my neighborhood auto repair shop.  Rusted lines all needed replaced.  My day went downhill from there.

Power just back on 4AM, it was getting pretty nippy inside.  I'm glad we don't have our usual February cold.

I have days of work out there, but first I'm going back to bed.

Still really windy here, trees down, the light at 9A is out again
Straps holding the west side of the pool cover down snapped off, will deal with it after the wind passes tonite or tomorrow  My computer shut off twice from power surges or failures, Think I am going to get a UPS for it

Three trucks flipped over from wind on the TZ bridge and it was closed to all truck traffic leading to a massive clusterf&^K as truckers had to go south to GW bridge or way north to 84   Riding home high 40-50 wind coming from every direction every few seconds, pretty interesting

My daughter who lives 12 miles north had almost 9 inches of very heavy wet snow in her yard but NYC had none really stick to the ground she is still without power this afternoon

Hurricane force winds aint fun Steve stay safe. Hope your son has a safe shift being outside as an LEO.

Good news for you folks on the East Coast, we just sent two more storms your way.  Lots of snow in the high country.  So watch out.

Today: Blue sky, slight breeze, and 68 wonderful, fantastic, uplifting, magnificent, and god-bless-the-great-state-of-Colorado degrees on the beautiful western slope of the Rocky Mountains!!!!
Tomorrow: Cool and wet in the valley; snowy and winter above 7000 feet elevation on the beautiful western slope of the Great Divide!!!!

So, this afternoon I ride and tomorrow I do not. laugh

Sorry to all you of you under the gun in New England. Cry
