Anyone else experience this?

As I type, sometimes the letters don't show for a few seconds, then all at once. ???

Doesn't happen in e-mails, so far just here.

Thought it was just my 'puter, but I've noticed the same thing. I've found if I open another tab/window and click on it then go back, it will type normal for a short time before doing it again. One bad thing, when I did that a couple days ago I lost a complete paragraph I had written so shut down for the day.

Happens to me sometimes but I thought I had stumbled on a way to stop time.

I've had the same thing happen pretty often and did the same thing to get out of it. Have also lost a post or two.

OH NOOO!!! NOT THAT :o :o

Anything but that :(

Anyone got a good used one for sale??

Glad to see I'm not alone, but it is a PITA.

It's been happening to me, but only on one computer and not the other one. Both running the same version of Chrome with the same addons, so I figured it was something on my end.

Not I'm curious and will have to poke at it and see if I can figure out WTF is going on.

Is everyone who's experiencing this issue using Chrome as a browser?

Well, I did divorce the housekeeper a couple of decades ago, I haven't swept in a while and all the bugs are dead from it being winter, can't see how that'll help.  But if you think so. :-\ :-\

It's getting worse, almost every letter is now delayed.

I feel it might have started when google forced a update on me.

I fought it for about a month, but got sick of the notices .

I have been experiencing that occasionally.  I use Firefox.  I have two suspects.  One is that the more recent applications use a lot more memory than earlier apps so the machine is spending more time moving data in and out of memory (paging).  This is especially suspicious in my older machine with less memory than it should have.

The second suspect is that there are more apps and pages requiring or coded so they should have almost constant connection to the internet.  This includes advertisement apps that I may not have specifically pulled up.

Both those items seem to be especially at work when I have several windows or tabs open at one time.

Funny you mentioned it, I spent the most part of the afternoon doing that. :)

I'm leaning more towards a configuration issue on the client side, just not sure what. The computer that IS exhibiting the behavior is my powerhouse beast rig with a Core i7, SSD system drive and 24GB of RAM, the system that is NOT exhibiting the behavior is a dinky notebook with a low end AMD quad core and 16GB of RAM...

I have a similarly massive number of tabs open on both systems.

I have had the issue occasionally on my laptop and my desktop at work, but not only on this site.  If I close the window/site and re-open, it usually goes away.  Both computers using Chrome.

Test.  It's got to be a chrome thing.  That above I did on my iPad, rapid fire w/o hesitation at all.

After checking out my computer to see what I've got running, it seems my Ad Blocker is the culpert.

I can suspend it on each web site, which I did, but it didn't change it.

I then suspended it completely and it seems to have made the difference.

The update I blamed on Google was actually a Windows 10 update and this ad blocker/VRCC issue started
after that.  I can't actually blame the update, but, coincidence?   I don't think so.

I hate updates, but I guess they're needed for security.  Well, that's what they tell you anyways.

I think you've about nailed it. First of all, just typing this is difficult as it is "freezing/stalling" the keystrokes for longer than ever before. (Is the system just P.O.ed that we're even talking about this??)

I, too, received the Windows 10 update on about December 7th. (I remember because it was the Pearl Harbor anniversary. The update turned out to be almost as disruptive, if not as bloody, loud or suffering any actual loss of life.) To answer your next question, yes, I usually use Chrome. The download was legit, as I eventually found out. What it was also trying to accomplish, however, was the complete connection/networking with all of my various devices. My Android-Motorola phone started letting me know it was out of memory. I couldn't figure out what was going on. I tried to shut everything down and not accept any more prompts. I, too, have learned that you need to update ASAP any JAVA or Windows updates for security purposes. One of my basic gripes, though, is that with Windows 10 you no longer have the same ability to "restore" to an earlier "save date/data point".

Over the next two months, I observed my computer becoming noticeably slower. I tried all the techie stuff I knew (not much) to restore as best as possible to before December 6th. It helped, but it wasn't back to normal yet or even anywhere acceptably close. I took it into my local computer fix-it store I've used many times. They got it running back up to speed and I picked it up the next day.

I've had no problems since, except that I've noticed my Ad Blocker (see quoted reference above) has been more aggressive. I figure they did that at the comp. store. I've adjusted it to accommodate my usual sites, but again, today is the worst the "type-ghosting" has ever been.

PS: the very day I got home from taking my laptop in to have it de-bugged, I turned on my desktop that I hadn't used in a long time. It took awhile to go through all the basics and quick updates after the non-use. And then, DUM-DUM-DUUMMM! I got the same update screen I'd received on December 7th! I backed away from the keyboard, turned off the computer at the CPU, and then got up to wash my hands in Purell.

Same problem here.  Chrome. Doing it as I make this post... >:(           not a problem on any other site. When I came back to add this it worked a little better.

Yup happens to me once in awhile also.
