Should civilians be allowed to purchase this firearm?

I've always found those fascinating, but not enough to pull the trigger on another new caliber for me to maintain.

Although, it would be nice to have that next to my Calico in the safe... Wink

I'm no gun expert, I don't know what it is so it's impossible to give you an answer other than to say that if it meets all current federal guidelines, why not.   If it doesn't then, no.

I have no desire to own another firearm but would fight to retain my right to have one or two or a dozen or so.   Wink

OMG, It's scarey looking, I need to retreat to my safe space and start making up protest signs before it starts firing by itself and killing people. cooldude cooldude

I've shot one, they are fun. I don't really want one, but anyone should be able to get it if they want.
When I was in the gun business I took a tour of their place and took an armorers course there on some of their stuff. Awesome place.
I only have one of their guns an older SPR bolt action in 308. With the right bullet it's a tack driver out to 500yds.

Yeah, they are also very short, and concealable and with high capacity mags.  I was curious what is the opinion of Meathead and other anti "high capacity" mag people.

I can see and interpret the Green Laser a lot easier than I can the red laser. I will state though that a LOT of my Friends in The P G R do wear-PROUDLY-The C I B-Combat Infantry Badge-and to a Man when in a fire fight there is NO SUCH THING as Too much ammo. Wouldn't mind havin one JUST Because it looks "scary"! Well-don't look scary to me at all but it would cause some folks to defecate in their underoos! RIDE SAFE.

No, I am asking an honest question.  I want to know the opinions of people in regard to what is known as a PDW (compact high capacity firearm that is larger than a pistol, but smaller than a traditional carbine).

I want to know the antis opinion on a firearm that fires an intermediate power cartridge (not a rifle cartridge, and not a pistol cartridge).  There are so many firearm types, I just want to get a feel for what they want us to have and what they don't.
But, if they don't want to display their opinion for fear of appearing uninformed, that's fine.

At the risk of putting words in their mouth's, I'd assume they'd wanna ban it.
I can see the anti-freedom folks tolerating mere citizens owning handguns with >10 (Or 15, or 6, or 7, or whatever they decide) round magazines, so I doubt they'd make an exemption for PDWs...

Thanks, you made my point.  You won't stand behind what you say, you won't take a stand.  The initial question still stands:  if you had the power, would you deny citizens the ability to purchase the firearm I showed?

Yeah, so you and Baldo say.
If by crap stirring you mean exposing ignorance, yes, I'm guilty of that.
I'm just tired of people who are ignorant of something having their first (and only) reaction being "it needs to be banned."

Let me wade in by saying that his conversation is not viable....There are people who will forever stand by the right to own any firearm, regardless of it's designed intent or purpose. There are others who believe that the benefits of firearm ownership do not depend on the ability to own the biggest, baddest and most "scary" firearms available and there are people who believe civilians should not own firearms... The group in the middle just wishes the other two groups would stop raising so much shyt so that we can go about or gun owning and USING lives....

Ok, I will now make the point of my "pointless" thread.  You see, that was not an FN p90.  I was making a point about all of these lawmakers and others wanting to ban something based on appearance.  In fact, this firearm does not even have a higher than 10 round capacity in this configuration.  For the record, the original pic with the laser is my own firearm.
Serk?  I, too, did not want to get another caliber.  And I liked the look of the p90, so I got this:

That's right, peeps, this evil, scary-looking, black death machine is the ubiquitous Ruger 10/22.  In .22 long rifle.

I intentionally showed the left side on the second pic to hide the ejection port.

You and Baldo have NO room to talk. You two stir more crap on this board than anyone since DaddieO.  Well you stir and Baldo usually fallows.

My question to you is since you never answered my brothers question. Did you know that the gun my brother showed was NOT a FN P90 but in fact a ruger 1022 in disguise? Well since Serk didn't catch it I sure as hell know you didnt. My point is there are so many ignorant people that simply want to ban a gun just by its looks alone. Diane Feinstein fell for it during the hearings for the original assault weapons ban. When a gun expert showed her a 1022 she said that gun was ok. But when he showed another 1022 in a black stock similar to the AR15 she said "that should be banned". Gun grabbers by a whole are ignorant about guns plain and simple.  Chris proved at least one of you fell for it.

Lol, not sure what I wrote to indicate I took anything personally but I think there are a large number of gun owning and particularly gun USING people who want to own a gun in order to feed and protect their families who also don't think those guns need to be high capacity military style rifles.....we have had this debate, I have provided factual and logical responses and the final "words" on the subject are well known.  What people like you need to realize is that people like me are on "your side" so to speak.  Take your allies where you can get them because you are gaining enemies with every child's body that hits the classroom floor..........

Actually, the whole "gaining enemies with every child's body" is only true because it's used for political gain by the antis before the blood even dries.  The gun owners of the US do not need people who are only in the fight "half way".  Back in the 70's they tried to turn the tide against hunting rifles by calling them "sniper rifles".  If they ban one type (scary black rifles), they will try to ban them all eventually.  People like me won't give them one inch willingly.  Their past actions prove they won't be satisfied until all arms are banned.  Then they will move onto some other thing to ban to get to their Utopia.  This is not hyperbole, this is the way it is.  And please quit trying to derail my thread.  I posted it to point out the ignorance of the antis.  I didn't post it to start a debate about "dead children".

You are not on our side. You have guns but want to ban guns that we dont. Ever heard the phrase "United we stand, devided we fall".  If you don't stand with all gun owners you are not "with us". Sorry that is the way I feel. I would suspect many here stand with me more than with you. That AR15 rifle did not load itself and go into that school and kill those kids. A deranged kid named Cruz DID. So stop blaming the gun and those that own them and put the blame where it belongs with Cruz. Did anyone blame the truck rental company when Timothy McVeigh used their truck to blow up the Murrah building in OKC. No of course not so why do you blame that rifle EVERY time some wako uses it to commit murder?

Wow.......are you married?  Shocked

compromise is not loss...Maybe it will take a few states to ban guns outright for you to realize that compromise may be required.  Until the gun lobby can show concrete facts on why the US has astronomical gun related death and violence rates relative to other gun owning nations, you will NOT win this fight. I hope you find that magic stat because it looks REALLY bad from the outside looking in!!!! Wink

It doesn't matter if we have 10 million lives lost to idiots using firearms.  Just like it doesn't matter if 10 million people cause riots.  They are not going to usurp the 2nd Amendment any more than they will usurp the 1st.  No state can make an outright ban on owning firearms.  Period.  Heller v DC.
Well, maybe it could happen, but you have to change our Constitution.  And I can guarantee that won't happen in my lifetime (look up what it takes to change it).
And the FBI does not support your "facts".  The US isn't even in the top 20 of deaths by firearms in the world.  Mexico has strict gun control, and much high deaths per capita.  And Jamaice was #1 in the world, and they have very strict gun control and are an island nation.
Just quit responding to my thread.  You are arguing an entirely different thing.

P.S.  A gun is not a status symbol...not a trophy....not a political speaking point. It's a tool to be used by those trained to do so.  Being born does not qualify a person to use one properly. Your truck comparison is perfect...you need a license and training course......thanks   cooldude

Amazing by saying this, you are affirming a gun is a tool.
Mine are not status symbols, they are not trophies, and THEY ARE NOT UP FOR YOUR DEBATE.
Oh, and I can get a license to drive any vehicle I can legally purchase anywhere in the US and Canada.  And driving is not a right.  We need permission to own a car from the government, we don't require permission for Constitutional rights.  Now, one more time, QUIT DERAILING MY THREAD.  You are off topic.

He proved nothing more than he posted this to try make “antis”, “gun grabbers”, “anti liberty” , or whatever other name you guys want to put to it look ignorant. He’s pissed because nobody bit on his lame little ploy, so he went and divulged his own crap stirring. Teachable moment my ass.

Who says I'm pissed?  You're a mind reader?
