The first time I saw this lot was the last ride of 2017.  I scouted it on my I/S.

So now it's Valk related. Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Customer bought this 10+ acre elevated lot from a farmer.  Was a cow pasture for a couple of centuries.

He's building his 32' x 46' garage first.

Raising the second wall.

Raising the second gable truss.

Getting ready to shingle.

Setting stair platform.

Rough stairs (Terrible picture, need to clean the camera lens on my phone, I guess.)

Today, backside sided, soffit & fascia done. cooldude

Thanks Rob.  All I have is a 2 car garage that hasn't seen a car in decades.  Winter time it has a lawn mower, leaf blower and a bobcat in it, but in the summer, it has Valkyries Smiley

Bill,

That looks mighty interesting... to someone who is into that sort of thing! Are you getting any ideas and/or inspiration from that project? As for yours truly, I prefer no garage, no home, no fixed place at all! I don't want to live anywhere... I want to live everywhere!!! Naturally, a time will come when I'll have to adjust to reality, but in the meantime... Will we see you at IZ this year?

No, Bruce, no new ideas or inspiration from this job, just challenges from working in winter weather.  Did several days in the teen's &  20's for temperatures, so that presented several problems.  But we made it through, bitching and complaining the whole way. Smiley

I envy your ability to shed worldly possessions.  I'm not sure I could do it as well as you seem to have done, being a soul of the open road.  You're adjustment to reality might be matched by my travel to the  road warrior style of life, maybe.

I have registered, made hotel reservations and have planned a trip to Inzane this year.  After missing all of them previously, with envy of all that have attended over the years, I made the commitment to go.

I look forward to meeting you and all the other colorful characters that make up this great internet home we have.

So there, you do have a home you prefer, it's here. Smiley

Bill,

I hear ya, man! Life has dealt each of us different cards, and we both must play our hands as best we can... I just a year and a half ago returned to my preferred lifestyle, after having taken a seven year sabbatical... I've never been happier than I have since! Whatever it is that makes you truly happy, I do hope you find it...

Glad to hear you plan on making IZ... I do, too... However, being true to my natural procrastinator instincts and tendencies, I have neither registered nor reserved a room... yet...

Funny about that... Keeping all options open, all decisions out in front of me, avoiding commitments... everything temporary and flexible... Well, it certainly is desirable for this humble gypsy, but it does come with a substantial cost.

An unwillingness to commit has cost me a couple of very worthwhile relationships, and no small amount of money... For most, the 'value' in that simply wouldn't be there... For me, however, I wouldn't want it any other way!!! Which ever way that works best for you, I hope you get to it!!! See ya in Roanoke... probably...
