I picked up my grand daughter at pre school and she wanted a cheeseburger, so we rolled into Mc Donalds to fulfill her request. As we came into the parking area, I noticed 6 Harleys in the parking lot. It was about 48 degrees out and I could see they were on a trip. Walked in to MCD's and there were 6 guys crowded around the pick up area waiting for their food. I stepped up to order the princes's cheeseburger,  and I noticed they were all speaking something like German. finally talked to one and they were from Austria doing a tour around the Southern states.  They were getting ready to ride to Nashville, then on to Atlanta.  I was tied up with the Queen to be, and on duty for the County, so could not join them. That would have been a hoot to show them around Nashville a little.     Sometimes the timing is just all wrong. They said it was a little cold around here.  2funny

Have always enjoyed meeting people from other countries.
But as it always turns out they are the same as us. They love the ride no matter
how cold and wet we get, because we know when it,s all over it will be one of
the greatest rides we ever had.

Either place iz fun in an 18 wheeler!  Roll Eyes Joe-Heartlands terminal in hotlanta is right across the freeway from the petro. That area B T W is fondly known as needle city.  uglystupid2 Would NOT get out of the cab ANYWHERE in hotlanta unless I had hard sole boots on-definitely NO tennys!  crazy2 Far as a motorsickle goes I'd drive WAY outa my way to miss hotlanta. Already been to The Music on my Phatt Ghurl! RIDE SAFE.

Jimmy,

Yeah, I imagine a few hours sharing some wind with those visitors would have been great! You did what you had to do, though, and many times in life we must choose between desirable but mutually exclusive options... You chose wisely and correctly, IMHO... Hopefully you'll get other opportunities for similar experiences down the road... If not, there are always rides with the Kewl Kids!!!   Wink

Yeah, Nastyville really is not desirable for me, and Atlanta is a no visit city for me as well if at all possible. It still would have been fun tagging along and maybe showing them some side roads of the real Tennessee where the Yankees do not roam, no offence to sensitive types!! 2funny

Yes sir, East of Nashville is mighty fine riding.  I live West of Nashville. We have lots of hills and hollers and we have lots of nice roads as well, but not like those Tennessee mountain areas. Can't beat those mountains for riding.  cooldude
