I've noted this before but will again.  If your email account is set up to require people to ask permission to email you you don't really have a functioning point for email contact.  That's a requirement for VRCC message board registration.

Know what you mean, it irritates me also. If someone feels free enough to send me an email then I shouldn't have to be vetted to answer it. Works both ways in my book, and like you....I don't bother to answer. I can only think a 2-3 persons in the last 10+ years that I've taken the time to respond in the manner described simply because I really needed/wanted to speak with them about something.

Know what you mean - I feel the same way about recruiters who call but don't leave voicemail even when instructed to do so.
