As of 11:45, it looks like there's at least a foot of snow on my deck. That's more than I expected this early. The lights have been flickering but the power is still on. We didn't lose power in the last storm, so hoping the same for this round.

At about 3:00 I'm stepping away from the Work from Home gig and going out to snow-blow. I'll do it again early Wednesday morning so I can get to work. Getting tired of this.

It's a coincidence that on March 14, 2017, we had a big snow storm with about a foot. Just about a year to the day, we're in it again.

I just got back in the house after ~ 2 hour first clean-up. I decided that waiting until 3 to clean-up wasn't a good idea. 13 inches of sticky snow on the ground at 12:50. More now. I'm hoping that less than 6 inches more will fall so that I can clean up in the early morning. Would rather settle in front of the fire this  afternoon/evening than go back out to clean-up.

My little suitcase size Toro, is just about worthless in super wet snow (clogs right up).  Nice powder, I can fling way over in my neighbor's yard.   

I've learned in the past, if the temps are coming up fast, get out and blow before it starts melting.

The good news is, if my luck holds out, I won't have run it for two straight winters.

My bro in MI uses farm tractors with a blade, but he's out in the sticks.

I finished the clean up last night. The total amount was 22 inches. The roads were fine this morning and I got to work at my normal time. However, schools are still closed until the surrounding towns get the sidewalks all plowed. Plus, some people are still without power. Not so much in Metro Boston, but mostly down in south eastern, MA/Plymouth-Carver area.

Unfortunately, there's a possibility of another snow storm next Tuesday, more of the heavy wet stuff for eastern MA. Probably rain for the Cape. This is ridiculous.

2 hours outside and the driveway is 3/4 done....16" in some places (deck) and 20" in others (picnic table).
The 15' - 20' at the end of the driveway is all that remains....The windrow left by the town plow
is over the top of the snow shoot on snowblower.
This $hit is damn heavy....Wished I still had the 4-wheeler with a plow.
And it is still snowing, luckily no wind.

You stick a yard stick into the snow until it bottoms and read it. 27 and 7/8 inches on the yard stick equals ~ 27.8 inches. I would just round up to 28 inches.

Cleaned the first foot and a half from the roof edges, but it was already icy under all the snow. Hopefully no ice dams. Nothing worse than raining in your house.

Funny. I grew up in Uxbridge and I remember the heavy snow we'd get. Was there for the Blizzard of 78. Now THAT was a snowstorm. That Blackstone Valley was a damn snow magnet....

Plowed till 1:30am, came home for a nap, back to work for 7 am. They cut us loose at noon. Came home & fired up the snowblower and went at it...
I need a bigger snowblower...
This was the worst snow to move ever!
And yes, the weather guessers are saying another big one next Tuesday.
