would have loved to come, but i'm super busy with the boys and the wife. The boys have their own stuff going on now and i'm not going to be the dad that misses out on all of it just to go ride. I'll never get rid of the bike but i may not ride it very often either. It will be there waiting when i'm ready.

I'll give Aldis credit where credit is due-Rarely if ever see a grocery cart on their parking lot. wally wurld on the other hand-even with the cart corrals scattered all over I have dodged loose carts in the cage and on my Phatt Ghurl. Seems so simple-25 cents to git the cart off the parking lot. WHY wally wurld don't follow suite is beyond me.  :uglystupid2: At the Aldis I frequent I have been "gifted" carts and try to pay it forward. Even if there is no one to gift it to I just leave the chain danglin!  :2funny: RIDE SAFE

Aldi.  It's truly a mystery as to why a store is referred to almost universally by folks adding an S to its name.    ???

If I remember correctly you get your quarter back when you return the cart to the line.

Yes you do,, and I guess the owner of the carts would be Aldi's.

Yup... Another feature of Aldi is that not only do you bag your own groceries, you have to supply the bag (Or box, or whatever). If you want bags you have to buy them, they're not gratis.

But.... Aldi's ('s added to show the possessive form of Aldi, not writing it as Aldi's as the name of the place, of course) prices are generally low enough to offset the hassles.... Generally... And they do get some unique stuff from time to time (Usually European of origin)

(Seriously, they usually run the store with 2-3 total employees on the clock at any time. Everyone does everything basically.)

Another fun fact. I have 2 Aldi's 12 miles from me, one north , one south. The Southern one has a lot better prices than the north one. They go off the communities average wage and the southern one is a lower wage than the northern one. So we always go south. I get milk for $0.77 a gallon.
Their BBQ sauce must be the same as Sweet Baby Rays for a fraction of the cost. I can not tell the difference. I actually bought both just to see if i could tell the difference and i could not. The ketchup taste just like Heinz. I have found very little i do not like there.

I buy cereal there. Wife tried to tell me the cereal had less vitamins so she bought a name brand at Walmart and we compared. Aldi's cereal actually had more.  ;D

It would, and that is indeed what I would have used.  However, he specified multiple addresses, rather than a simple "of address" as a modifier, thus a singular use of noun could not be correct.

Aldi has been a significant budget saver for my less than average income family. Additionally, they've begun an organic line of goods and are using less corn syrup than in previous products. As stated earlier, they have more than groceries at times.

Far as saving some coin I have found 8oz box of portabello mushrooms for as low as 87 cents-unadvertised in store specials. And as a plus-no limits at that price. But I've found that after cleaning and prepping 2 pounds of the P Bs that I'm generally getting to the last of them while they are still good to eat. Nudder 2 or 3 days and they would not be good. They have a nice selection of wines that are Very reasonably priced and taste good. Their bratwurst while close to Johnsenville brats are priced very low so the JV brats had better be on a GOOD sale somewhere else. While the Aldi is 25 miles from me I generally have to go to West Plains on Sunday after Church and get my groceries then. When yer on a fixed income and like to still eat good you LEARN how to budget and look fer bargains!  :cooldude: RIDE SAFE.

So a company called Aldi has a number of stores nationwide. Some states have multiple Aldis. When you go there you can pay 25 cents to use an Aldi's cart. If you shop at all of the Aldis in a state you can use all of Aldis's carts. The Aldi policy is to charge for Aldi's bags as well.

Been to a couple. They can have some interesting stuff. Decent prices. Hear one is coming to Sioux City in the near future.

I am forwarding this thread to my eldest child, the English major. When she told me that was to be her major I was a bit concerned about her job possibilities. I shouldn't have been concerned, she started as a tech writer for a software company. Apparently geeks can't write in English. She now heads the marketing department for another software company. She complains often about the 3rd grade English used in her department. Apparently business majors aren't required to learn English either.

From what I've heard, 3rd grade is about the norm.  Many years ago, before the turn of the century, my wife's cousin said the Navy Tech manuals were written at a 5th grade reading level.

cookiedough

their honey mustard sauce is good as well as the rest of the condiments.  eggs, milk, butter, etc. are also cheaper usually, and their fruit is usually good as well.

I usually find a big, empty cardboard box and carry all I need in there since I do not do MEGA shopping there enough for a huge grocery cart.

they do need more help though since a lot of times ONLY 1 person running the show and should have 3 at all times since one of the 2 lanes open and usually backed up 5-6 people or more.
