We landed yesterday in Tromsø and have some shots in a slide show if you are interested. The place we are staying first has some history I did not know. It was a barn three years ago and converted into two apartments. It was occupied during the second W W by the Germans and in one shot you can see the bunker the Germans built, see behind the wheel cart.  If weather cooperates we have a wing to ride in Sortland on Thursday or Friday.

Your pictures are so beautiful it looks like you are on a guided photo shoot of Norway, nice job Jerry & Sherry! Some of your pictures are ready for a frame on the wall. Looking forward to more. I have to admit I am jealous! It looks like you arrived at the perfect time of year. What have the day & night temps been? Did you make it to the Valkyrie Store in Germany yet or is that later in your trip?

Dan the locals say they are having once in a lifetime highs,  we must have brought it ,,,83° day and 63° in the "day" or pseudo night, that is at 12:51 am as I type, constant day right now! The valk store is closed on the days we are near so poo. I had a $19 cheeseburger today!  Note to self.  Do not eat out!

Man I don't know how people ride with those tall ape-hangers.

Cool pictures, some beautiful country. Almost seems like a step back in time.  You guys have a great time.

Life is like a hot bath. It feels good while you're in it, but the longer you stay in, the more wrinkled you get.

Well we are surely finding a huge advantage in the 24/7 daylight  :smitten: however it can cause some sleeplessness, Sherry has had a small struggle but I just let her sleep in and let the natural body clock be her alarm.  We have one more night here and off to Sortland to stay with Valk people Lil and Raymond for three nights. If the link works it is our tracks so far. Everyone we have been in contact with so far speaks excellent English and the local kids are very friendly.

Wonderful pictures.  The temperatures seem quite nice for having fun, which I hope you have a lot of.  24 hours of daylight to boot!  That's something I'd like to see sometime.  I hope you folks have the time of your life. Be safe.

Temps so far......hot!  Sunny no rain, yes  :cooldude: Sherry and I swear that whenever we vacation to a normally cold climate it is hot.  We must bring it in the plane.
